  • 6:30PM CST: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills -5.5; Total 46.5

It’s no secret that Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has lost his last seven starts. The Jaguars have been struggling, mostly due to turnovers. They can’t seem to hang onto the football. I’ll be the first to admit that the Buffalo defense is much better than I expected. It’s like they haven’t lost a step. We knew the offense would be fine without some of their lost weapons because the Bills are now a power running team. Josh Allen can make plays with any receiver on the field. The underdogs have been barking around the league, especially the ones that are 0-2 and desperate for a win. I expect the Jaguars’ defense to step up. Can Lawrence make the plays his team has needed him to make this season? It’s put-up or shut-up time for the Jags. The Bills are coming off a stomping of the Dolphins. This feels like the Bills either lose or win by a field goal. I’m taking the points, trusting the Jacksonville defense and Trevor Lawrence to take care of the football.

  • 7:15PM CST: Washington Commanders vs. Cincinnati Bengals -7.5; Total 46.5

The Bengals are hosting the Commanders and should have all of their receivers, with Tee Higgins rejoining the team. Joe Burrow will have all of his weapons, but will it be enough? It’s hard to figure out this Bengals team. You have players wanting money, Burrow possibly playing injured, and the Bengals’ pass defense has been one of the best in the league. They have not faced a tough Commanders team yet. Jayden Daniels and his ability to move around the pocket have been game changers for Washington. The Commanders beat the Giants last week by only making field goals. Can Daniels and the Commanders finish drives tonight? They will need to put touchdowns on the board against Joe Burrow at home. I can see this being a shootout, but that Bengals pass defense has been tough. I’m thinking the Bengals take a step back after their game with the Chiefs due to it taking a lot out of them. The Commanders can be sneaky in this game but will need TDs. I will gladly take the 7.5 points they are giving us at kickoff.
