WNBA Record: (-2.13 Units) — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

  • 6:00PM CST: Minnesota Lynx vs. Connecticut Sun -6; Total 168

The Minnesota Lynx should be well rested because they haven’t played in almost a week. I expect them to have a strong game. The Sun have been good so far this year with their big three of DiJonai Carrington, Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner leading the way. The Sun are probably the better team but I do not think they should be getting six points against a rested Lynx team that can score the ball. The Lynx rely on their two UCONN stars, Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride. If these two can score against this tough defense I expect this to be a close game and one they can win.

  • 6:00PM CST: Chicago Sky vs. New York Liberty -16.5; Total 168

The Chicago Sky are another team that has not played in almost a week with a five day break. The Liberty are my 1B team right now in my WNBA Power Rankings tied with the Aces. You have to beat the Champ to be the Champ. But, the Liberty have looked crisp and in midseason form already. They have not been covering these large spreads as when they get up big they empty the bench for the most part. They did beat the Fever by 40 but the other games have been wins by less than 16.5. The Sky have some size but have yet to be tested. This should be a fun game to watch. I think the Sky can keep this game close.

Play: Sky +16.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 9:00PM CST: Washington Mystics vs. Phoenix Mercury -7.5; Total 165.5

The Mercury are off a big win against the Las Vegas Aces and now face the winless Mystics. Washington is dealing with some injuries. Shakira Austin and Didi Richards are listed as game time decisions. It does look like they will play though as they are listed probable. I’ll take the points with the Mystics, this might be a let down game for the Mercury. The Mystics have been competitive but the offense can run cold at the wrong times.

Play: Mystics +7.5 (-112) [via DraftKings]
