College Baseball: Super Regionals Sunday

College World Series Futures (link)

We have made it to NCAA Tournament Super Regionals where we will be previewing all of the Supers giving as much information as possible. We will have wagers throughout the weekend and futures plays for the World Series. Our wagers are betting 1 unit to win x and for baseball we do not go lower than -165. This is a steep price but there are opportunities where the number should be -200 so this is why that is our limit. On the games where we have a ML and RL bet you can always choose whichever price is best for you rather than playing both. Check out our home page where all the regional handicaps will be daily.

College Baseball Supers Record: (+3.27 units)

  • [Game 1 Suspended]: Tennessee Volunteers (-180) vs. Southern Miss. Golden Eagles (+145)

There has been so much trash talk going on between both of these schools. It started when Southern Miss was awarded to host the super regional. I agree with the decision based on season results. Southern Miss was (+115) all day and then Tennessee received massive steam. We have talked about how good Tennessee looks flying under the radar but let’s not forget they only had to play Clemson once and played Charlotte twice. I like the Golden Eagles in the series and this game.

Pick: Southern Miss (+145)

  • 11:00am cst: Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

Same story different day. No play here due to Alabama games Off The Board due to the ex coach caught betting on games. I do not believe Wake Forest should be the odds on favorite to win the National Championship but I hope they beat Alabama so we do not have to deal with this anymore.

Pick: NONE

  • 11:05am cst: Duke Blue Devils (+165) vs. Virginia Cavaliers (-205)

This has been such a good series to watch. I take full responsibility by taking Duke yesterday. I was about 95% SP Alex Gow was going to pitch for the Blue Devils forgetting the last time he pitched he almost no hit Coastal Carolina. Gow struggled the whole game with his command and Virginia took advantage. Duke was in this same situation against Coastal Carolina and won the 3rd matchup in dominating fashion. Does Duke have it in them for one more game? Will Virginia and its offense finally conquer its true nemesis this season in the Duke Blue Devils? I can’t wait to watch this game. I have believed in this team all season so there is no reason to stop now. Let’s go Duke.

Pick: Duke (+165)

  • 2:00pm cst: Southern Miss Golden Eagles (x) vs. Tennessee Volunteers (x)

Pick: Pending Game 1 completion

  • 5:00pm cst: Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (+110) vs. Oregon Ducks (-140)

Wow. This series has been incredible! Last night’s game once again finished on the last at bat of the night on a walk off win by Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles’ batter laced one to left field and it hit directly on the chalk line to score two runs. Unreal. One could not write a script better than some of the games we have witnessed this post season. Oregon let this game slip through its fingers the same way Oral Roberts did Game 1. When a series makes it to Game 3 it is all about mental toughness and pitching. I must side with the Oregon pitching once again here.

Pick: Oregon (-140)

  • 5:00pm cst: LSU Tigers (-230) vs. Kentucky Wildcats (+185)

We were way ahead on the LSU train before Paul Skenes was named starter yesterday. LSU took massive steam and cashed a run away shut out winner. Same handicap here. These are just two different teams on separate levels. Give me the Tigers.

Pick: LSU -2.5 (-130)

  • 8:00pm cst: Stanford Cardinal (-120) vs. Texas Longhorns (-110)

Earlier we spoke about metal toughness. The game yesterday between these two was the ultimate battle of mental toughness and the Longhorns who did not give up, came out victorious. UT SP Lucas Gordon did not have his best day pitching in his home state of California. The Longhorn bullpen did not have its best moments after Gordon was taken out of the game but the offense picked the team up and rallied. The Longhorns may have broken the spirit of the Cardinal. Lebarron Johnson Jr. should get the start for the Longhorns and the last time we saw him he had a 9 inning domination performance against Miami. Does he have another one in him? I’m betting yes. Also, the Texas momentum should carry over as long as Lebarron keeps his command and does not hand out walks.

Pick: Texas (-110)

Our Futures Positions:

Duke Blue Devils: 300/1, 45/1 & 25/1

TCU Horned Frogs: 45/1 & 15/1

Southern Miss: 30/1, 35/1

(added 35/1 as a ton of trash talk has begun between USM and Tennessee)

Texas: 20/1
