SEC College Baseball Tournament: Day 4

2023 SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama

Today kicks off conference tournament play so we should have some great matchups. The 1st round of the SEC Tournament will be single elimination. Teams must win today to mover on to the double elimination portion of the tournament. We will have all the college baseball gambling insight and discussion you could ask for. Let’s get after it!

SEC Tournament Record: 3-5 (-3.7 units)

• 3:00pm cst: Texas A&M Aggies (+155) vs. LSU Tigers (-190)

In the first elimination game of the day we have the red hot pitching of the Aggies are on a run right now only losing to Arkansas. All week we have discussed the Aggies’ pitching woes all season but in the SEC Tournament they have finally been playing up to their potential. Not only the pitching but the hitting has been crucial for A&M. A&M has scored 5 runs in 2/3 games. The only game they did not was when they scored 3 and shut out Tennessee. LSU just lost a game where potential top 5 draft pick Paul Skenes gave up 5 runs but only 2 were earned. Well, do we fade A&M again and possibly pay the price or back the hot Aggies and its pitching? The price is too high for LSU so it is A&M or pass. If we take A&M it wouldn’t surprise me if LSU runs away with it. I’ll take the price here. It is worth the risk with the way A&M is playing confidently.

• 6:30pm cst: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Vanderbilt Commodores

Due to Alabama’s issues from its ex-head coach this game is Off The Board. No play.
