SEC Tournament Record: 3-3 (-1.7 units)

  • 9:30am cst: Texas A&M Aggies (+115) vs. South Carolina Gamecocks (-145)

I must say that we have slandered this Aggies baseball team all season but they have put up two good performances in this tournament. South Carolina had a great offensive performance Day 1 but Day 2 against LSU they came up short multiple times in big spots that cost them. A&M blew a 4 run lead late against Arkansas after the Razorbacks crushed a grand slam. The Aggies will have LHP freshman Justin Lampkin (6.39 ERA) against the Gamecocks’ junior RHP Jack Mahoney (3.73 ERA). With the exception of about 2 starts Mahoney has been great for South Carolina. The ‘Cocks have an offensive advantage and on the mound today. I feel I can only side with the Gamecocks here.

Pick: South Carolina (-145)

  • 1:00pm cst: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers

No play here as every Alabama game is Off The Board.

Pick: NA

  • 4:30pm cst: LSU Tigers (-150) vs. Arkansas Razorbacks (+120)

LSU really strutted its stuff against South Carolina. I thought Thatcher Hurd was going to pitch a dud but instead he had a great game. LSU defeated Arkansas 2 out of 3 times this season. The Razorbacks pulled out a close game in extra innings after basically losing to A&M the majority of the game. I feel like LSU is just locked in right now. Not that Arkansas isn’t but I believe LSU has a chip on its shoulder with its seeding being a #3 seed after being one of the best teams all year. I like the Tigers in this one.

Pick: Tigers (-150)

  • 8:00pm cst: Vanderbilt Commodores (-110) vs. Florida Gators (-120)

Well, this straddle on this line makes 0 sense for starters but we will wait for more information before we play anything on the night game. Also, hopefully this line moves some way.

Pick: Pending
