NBA Conference Finals Record: (5-3-1)

  • 7:30pm cst: Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics (-10)

Last night our handicap was dead on but we lose our 1st 3 plays of the Conference Finals by a total of 5.5 points. Lines were tight and the Lakers earned that cover. On to tonight though. It looks like the money is flying in on the Celtics moving this line to 9.5 favoring Boston. Like we talked about in Game 1: this Miami team prides itself on toughness and defense. The Celtics shot 10 more FTs than Miami but the Heat made 6 more 3PTs. I’m expecting this game to go under tonight. There is the possibility of the Celtics running away with this one but the Miami 3PT defense will be critical to insure that does not happen. The team rebounding and turnovers were dead even. I’m still not understanding why the Celtics are almost a 10 point favorite. Miami has only lost one game by more than 10 points and that was Game 2 against Milwaukee. Again, I like the way Jimmy Butler is playing, Bam looked great in the post getting his own shots and Max Strus is playing with a chip on his shoulder. It is just too many points to lay against Erik Spoelstra and this hardened Miami team. The total for both of these two teams trend towards the over so let’s go back to the well there.

Pick: Miami +10 (-110)

Over 215 (-110)

Max Strus Points Over 11.5 (-115)
