NBA Round 2 Record: (18-18)
6:30pm cst: New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat (-4.5)
Julius Randle proved that his performance in game 2 was a fluke. He was an absolute no show in game 3. The Heat also out rebounded the Knicks although it was only 2 it is still a huge turn around from game 2. I also thought Jimmy Butler would be guarding Brunson again but instead he was guarding RJ Barrett who finally didn’t score over 20 points. Erik Spoelstra strikes again. He will have Gabe Vincent guarding Brunson slowing him down while Jimmy Butler takes on RJ Barrett and Adebayo gave Randle everything he could handle. This Miami team especially with Jimmy Butler healthy in the lineup is just a stronger and tougher team than New York. These Heat guards get into the face of the Knicks and NY is incapable of finding easy scoring opportunities. With Jimmy Butler and the defensive tenacity of the Heat I cannot see the Knicks having success on the offensive end to steal a win tonight.
Pick: Heat -4.5
Jimmy Butler Points Over 28.5 Points (-120)
Gabe Vincent Points Over 11.5 (-125)
9:00pm cst: Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers (-2.5)
The Lakers now have a 2-1 lead with a huge game 4 on the Horizon. If the Lakers win they will be up 3-1 and in great position to take down the defending champions. The Lakers destroyed the Warriors last game so everyone should be well rested. D’Angelo Russell has been great this series along with Jarred Vanderbilt. I don’t see the Warriors coming out of this one victorious due to the the size and defense the Lakers. The Lakers have had impressive help from numerous role players. Someone different every night and that is usually a recipe for success. Lonnie Walker had some good minutes but now I’m curious what that will do to the rotations for the rest of the team. I like Hachimura to have a big game along with LBJ in a must win.
Pick: Lakers -2.5
LeBron James Jr. Points, Rebounds & Assists Over 41.5 (-125)
Rui Hachimura Points Ove 9.5 (+105)
***The other games will be posted once more lineup information is available.
