NBA Turn Up: Daily Preview
Let’s try something new with the NBA for the rest of the season and beyond. I recently watched a video where Shaquille O’Neal was telling a story where his dad called him during a game. The security guard behind the bench hands Shaq the phone and his father asks, “Why are you playing like a little bitch? Turn it up Motherfucker”. Shaq story. That is where the name of this new series comes from so anytime we are talking NBA look for this title. It’s to serve as a reminder that if you don’t lace ‘em up every night ready to turn up then you will get embarrassed on the hardwood.
The objective of the series will be to share different NBA commentary, recaps and gambling insight into the night’s games. The NBA is a year round soap opera hated by many but we’re here for the non woke basketball some fans around the world still love.

[ROT #547]: Orlando Magic (-3) vs. Charlotte Hornets; total 225; 6:00pm
The Hornets recently loss LaMelo Ball for the season after winning five games in a row. Since, Charlotte was destroyed by the new look Suns and Kevin Durant’s debut. Hornets should be slipping into “tank” mode. I feel Orlando is still trying to win games with a chance at the play-in games building towards next season. Buying on Orlando and fading Charlotte.
[Player Prop]: Cam Johnson Over 15.5 (-125) Points; 6:40pm
Cam Johnson is the go-to scorer now for the Nets off the ball with Mikel Bridges. He has been easily averaging over this number in the past 5 games. Boston will definitely be scoring so the Nets will need to answer. I feel this number is too short for Johnson’s current form.
[ROT #557]: Phoenix Suns (-3.5) vs. Chicago Bulls; total 222.5; 7:00pm
This will be game 2 for Kevin Durant and the Suns against an Eastern Conference foe. This number only makes sense because it may be a look ahead for the Suns with Dallas on Sunday but I disagree. Dallas was locked in last night and I expect the same from the Suns tonight. This number is too short and the Bulls have shown nothing recently to give you confidence to back them.
[ROT #560]: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Denver Nuggets (-5) [-115]; 9:00pm
Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has been in the headlines lately as his name is being slandered by talking heads due to him “stat padding”. That’s a conversation for a different day. This is a statement game for both teams and whichever team earns the win tonight. I like the Nuggets here at home proving they are a real contender for the NBA title this season. The number is begging for Memphis bettors to back them on the road but they are a poor road squad.
[Player Prop]: Jonathan Kuminga Points Over 10.5 (-130)
Kuminga has been playing great lately and has had plenty of success against the Pelicans in the past. New Orleans doesn’t play much defense depending who is on the floor for them. If Herb Jones and Dyson Daniels are out there I can see it being difficult but this number is a bit too light for Kuminga. I was kind of split on playing the Pelicans or backing the Warriors for a second night in a row. Same with Brandon Ingram over 26.5 points. The hook scared me off the 26.
