College Baseball Super Regionals Day 2

Super Regionals Record: (-1.67 units)
We were having a decent Regionals run until Sunday where the afternoon went to shit. We may have been a tad too aggressive but it was just one of those days. Every favorite we had lost outright and every dog we had got smashed. Couldn’t buy one Sunday afternoon. Now, it’s Super Regionals time to make up some ground. We have plenty riding on our futures, we added Super Regional plays and the daily matchups. There will be plays on a side and total for each game.

10:00AM CST: Florida State Seminoles (-410) vs. UConn Huskies (+290); Total 11
FSU destroyed UConn yesterday winning by 20 runs. Will they have some offense left in the tank? Usually after a performance like that, teams tend to let off the gas a bit. I expect a much better performance from the Huskies after not only after getting killed but it seemed they felt like the umpires were a bit lopsided towards the Noles. This will be no easy task with Jamie Arnold on the mound for FSU. Yes, the Seminoles are the much better team but after losing by 20 runs I have to flip to the other side and take the runs.

10:00AM CST: Tennessee Volunteers (-920) vs. Evansville Purple Aces (+550); Total 14.5
The Volunteers are massive favorites today to close out this Super Regional against the Purple Aces. We have multiple Tennessee futures tickets. This Evansville team won’t go away quietly or without a fight. I think the Purple Aces will literally go down swinging. They can keep this game close and there is no way I am going under on a Tennessee and Evansville game. I’ll take my chances.

11:00AM CST: NC State Wolfpack (+120) vs. Georgia Bulldogs (-150); Total 14.5
I am expecting a high scoring affair in this one. Two great offenses going at it. NC State has a very good team but now they must play on the road. I’m backing the home team but this series feels like it will be close.

1:00PM CST: Oregon Ducks (+250) vs. Texas A&M Aggies (-345); Total 12
This should be a pitching duel. Both teams have great starting pitching as well as from the bullpen. Aggies probably have the better offense but I would not put anything past Oregon. They went undefeated in a stacked UC Santa Barbara Regional. I like the Ducks to keep this game close and win.

1:00PM CST: Florida Gators (+124) vs. Clemson Tigers (-160); Total 13.5
I was waiting all of last weekend for either one of these teams to slip up. It never happened. This should be a great series and the team with the better pitching should win and advance. Clemson has been great playing at home. Can this Florida magic continue? I have to go with Clemson here.

2:00PM CST: Virginia Cavaliers (-280) vs. Kansas State Wildcats (+210); Total 13.5
Kansas State was so close to winning Game 1 but two huge mistakes cost them the win. Virginia hit a come-backer to the left-handed pitcher who kind of paused and took his time throwing to second. He didn’t throw to third to get the lead runner because it would’ve been a tough play. Instead he goes to second as slow as possible making it impossible to turn a double play. Next pitch was a three run bomb that eventually ended the game. I think we get some more runs during a day game and Kansas State evens the series. Let’s see how they respond.

5:00PM CST: Oregon State Beavers (+105) vs. Kentucky Wildcats (-135); Total 11.5
I like Oregon State and even though they are on the road I would not have them as an underdog. I think we get some runs and I like the Beavers. They are the better team in my opinion.

7:00PM CST: North Carolina Tar Heels (-315) vs. West Virginia Mountaineers (+230); Total 12.5
Every game that North Carolina plays, always comes down to the very end. I will take the runs here. It’s always tough to go under in these games. Let’s keep going over at this point.

Super Regional Winners:
Athens Regional: Georgia Bulldogs (-150) - We have the Dawgs to win it all. NC State is a great team but I give UGA the edge playing at home.
Bryan-College Station Regional: Oregon Ducks (+300) - Oregon just went through a California gauntlet. I don’t think they will be phased by the College Station crowd. The Ducks have elite pitching that matches up with the Aggies. At +300 I cannot pass on this Ducks team that is hitting their stride at the right time.
Charlottesville Regional: Kansas State Wildcats (+220) - Yes, the Cavaliers are humming right now. I still think they had one of the easier Regionals. Kansas State played some tough teams and their offense is on fire right now. I am taking the underdog price.
Clemson Regional: Clemson Tigers (-160) - Clemson might finally be able to put together a Super Regional win and make it back to Omaha. Florida is as hot as anybody after winning in Stillwater but can they keep it up? I like how Clemson handled themselves at home.
Lexington Regional: Oregon State Beavers (+100) - I am still not a believer in Kentucky. They sure did prove me wrong last weekend but now they will be stepping up in competition. The Beavers made quick work of their Regional. Both offenses are hot so I will take the dog price.
