Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch Round 1 Recap

S.Y. Noh leads the Byron Nelson by 3 strokes after a course record-tying 60.

Byron Nelson Preview & Wagers:

Thursday’s round at the AT&T Byron Nelson had a little bit of everything a golf fan loves. There was a great performance by Seung-Yul Noh carding a course record-tying 60 (30-30) with only a 0.69% draft percentage on Draft Kings. The featured groups played well in the early and late rounds. There were chip-ins galore around TPC Craig Ranch. It was an entertaining first round to kick off the weekend.

The first round weather played a heavy factor in scoring. The low round of 60 by Noh was turned in early and was most likely safe given the potential weather in the afternoon. Right around noon the clouds began to break and the fans turned on high. Winds began to gust around 20-25 mph, which separated the good from the great players. Expect the same kind of scoring in the morning for round two with the early tee times playing through calm winds. When the afternoon comes around the winds will begin to whip and there may be some storms to compete with as well.

After quick calculations, the projected cut as it stands now is -2 with 23 players tied on the cut line. Friday will play tough and I anticipate the cut line ending up at -3 so those who want to be around for the weekend better come to play.

Here at DDSN we want to show some love and are pulling for a great round tomorrow for the West Texas Driving Range Pro himself, JJ Killeen to ramp it up and make it to the weekend. He is currently +1 with his work cut out for him tomorrow.

We are only 1 round in but there are storylines galore heading into Friday and the cut sweats that come with it. After the 2nd Round we will have wagers for the weekend so stay tuned!
