  • 11:00AM CST: Buffalo Bulls vs. UConn Huskies -6; Total 44.5

Buffalo comes into this game after an upset over Northern Illinois, a team some had ranked, though not DDSN. UConn obliterated the FAU Owls last Saturday, and I think that may have given this team the spark and confidence to handle teams like Buffalo. The Bulls are out of their weight class in this matchup. As we discussed last week, UConn’s numbers are a bit skewed after getting crushed by Maryland, but they went toe-to-toe with Duke. Buffalo has one of the worst offenses in the country, and UConn has a good enough defense to give them continued problems. Let’s ride this train.

  • 11:00AM CST: Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. Michigan Wolverines -10.5; Total 34.5

Michigan had a great game against USC at home last week. Now, they must get back up for another Big 10 opponent in the Golden Gophers. Minnesota played Iowa tight, but turnovers killed them. The Gophers will need to lean on their running game in this one. Their strength is also their run defense. It got worn down against Iowa, which led to the Hawkeyes pulling away. A Michigan flat spot feels like it’s coming up after such a big win. This number has run a little too far.

Play: Minnesota +10.5 (-112) [via DraftKings]

  • 11:00AM CST: BYU Cougars vs. Baylor Bears -3; Total 47

The ultimate flat spot for the BYU Cougars. After a massive win against Kansas State at home, they must travel to play Baylor. The Bears have to shake off a late meltdown against Colorado. This is also a classic rat trap game. The road team that’s ranked is an underdog against an unranked opponent. Rats (BYU backers) typically get caught trying to eat the cheese. Principal bet on Baylor.

Play: Baylor -3 (-112) [via DraftKings]

  • 2:30PM CST: Louisville Cardinals vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish -6.5; Total 45.5

Louisville was fortunate to escape against Georgia Tech with not only the cover but an outright win. Poor coaching and some lucky breaks came in clutch for the Cardinals. Now, they must face an Irish team looking for revenge from last season. Louisville was under the radar and dominated the Irish. They won’t be sneaking up on anyone this year. Louisville struggled with dual-threat QB Haynes King and they should face similar issues against Riley Leonard. I think the Irish will get their season back on track after this game.

  • 6:30PM CST: Georgia Bulldogs-1 vs. Alabama Crimson Tide; Total 49.5

The DDSN #1 rated Bulldogs come into Tuscaloosa looking to remain perfect. Alabama is seeking a marquee win against a rival to catapult them to the top of the SEC and national discussions. Are they ready for that? Both teams are coming off an idle week to prepare for this one. The last time we saw Georgia on the road, they struggled against Kentucky. I don’t think that was a fluke. The Bulldog offense is vulnerable. Can Carson Beck pick up the offense when they need him? He is going to have to earn his private jet today. This also marks Bama head coach Kalen DeBoer’s first test as the main man on campus. All eyes are on him. The last time we saw Jalen Milroe in a meaningful game, he came up empty, playing the worst game of his career against Michigan. It’s his chance to bounce back. The Crimson Tide has plenty of offensive firepower as well. This should be a battle. I’m siding with the home team and the team that Kirby Smart has the most trouble with. Roll Tide.

Play: Alabama +1 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 7:00PM CST: Florida State Seminoles vs. SMU Mustangs -6; Total 47

Florida State finally won a game. It only took the referees helping every step along the way and the Cal kicker missing multiple field goals. Nonetheless, they won. Now, SMU is coming off one of their biggest wins against TCU since the Pony Express. Can they follow it up? The answer is a resounding YES! The Mustangs have the recipe that FSU struggles with: a strong running game, a running quarterback, and athleticism. Not only that, but the SMU crowd will be a sellout for their first home ACC game, and this is technically Florida State’s first road game. Pony Up!
