With Week 6 of the NFL season all wrapped up here are some players to pick up off waivers in fantasy football, to help win your matchup or stash heading into Week 7. Mastering the waiver wire is crucial to helping win matchups in all leagues.

Tyrone Tracy RB New York Giants ( Rostered in 45.1% of leagues)

Despite the result for the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, Tyrone Tracy had a massive day as the bell-cow back for the Giants. For the second week in a row, Giants starting running back Devin Singletary didn't suit up with a groin injury. This meant Tracy had most of the snaps in the backfield. This is now two weeks in a row Tracy has been the starter for Brian Daboll’s side, leading to double-digit fantasy points. Tracy was fourth in scoring with 22.7 points, ahead of the likes of D’Andre Swift, David Montgomery, and Najee Harris, who all had massive fantasy outputs in Week 6. Tracy was given the most carries and tied for the team lead in receptions and yardage. When Singletary returns, Tracy should still have a role, especially in the passing game, which makes him even more valuable.

Isaac Gurrendo RB San Fransico 49ers (Rostered in 0.9% of leagues)

Gurrendo rushed 10 times for 99 yards for 9.9 points against the Seahawks on Thursday night. Now, less than 10 points may feel like nothing, but the 49ers' lead RB Jordan Mason left this game with a shoulder injury in the second quarter. Mason was cleared to return to play but only had one carry in the second half before spending the rest of the game on the sideline. Currently, Mason is day-to-day with an AC joint sprain according to reports and the 49ers. This means if Mason is set to miss any time, Gurrendo is the clear plug-and-play guy. The rookie out of Louisville looked decent when pounding the rock. Gurrendo's 76-yard run to ice the game in Seattle shows he has home run ability well worth a stash.

Kimani Vidal RB Los Angeles Chargers (Rostered in 2.3% of leagues)

With the Chargers' number two running back, Gus Edwards, surprisingly placed on IR the Friday before Sunday’s contest with the Broncos, the door was left wide open for rookie running back Kimani Vidal to make a splash on his NFL debut. Vidal had 4 carries for 11 yards and 2 receptions for 40 yards, including a 38-yard reception touchdown in the first quarter. Vidal’s fantasy numbers may be inflated by his long reception touchdown, but the Chargers have shown this season that they are committed to running the ball under Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman. With lead running back J.K. Dobbins having a great season and Edwards set to miss at least four games, Vidal should have some portion of the volume. Like Tracy, the rookie back out of Troy should have some volume on passing downs behind Dobbins, making him well worth the stash.

DeMario “Pop” Douglas WR New England Patriots (rostered in 21.1% of leagues)

Fantasy-wise, it’s been an up-and-down season for Patriots wide receiver Pop Douglas. Douglas has only had more than 10 fantasy points in two games, with the other three barely cracking more than four points. With rookie quarterback Drake Maye now the starter, Douglas’s fantasy value skyrockets from where it was before Week 6. Douglas was fifth in wide receiving scoring with 21.2 points. Douglas also led all Patriots receivers in receptions, yardage, and targets. Douglas is a viable option; these numbers should continue, especially with Maye under center for New England.

Xavier Legette WR Carolina Panthers (rostered in 28.9% of leagues)

After a rough Week 5, Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette had a bounce-back week in Week 6 with 11.3 fantasy points. Legette caught 3 balls for 23 yards and a touchdown (plus a ride on the dollar bill in the endzone). Since Adam Thielen went down with injury and Andy Dalton took over the Panthers offense, Legette has been a nice flex option with good matchups. Legette was third in targets and receptions. He has another solid matchup against Jacksonville in Week 7 and could be a particularly good flex option.

Troy Franklin WR Denver Broncos (rostered in 0.5% of leagues)

It seems fitting that Oregon gets a massive win at home Saturday night over Ohio State, while over 1200 miles away, two former Oregon Ducks have a solid connection despite the result. When the Broncos drafted quarterback Bo Nix and wide receiver Troy Franklin, it was almost guaranteed these two would continue their collegiate connection from Eugene into the NFL. It took a while, but this may be the time Troy Franklin breaks out for the Broncos with 11.6 points against the Chargers. Franklin was third in receptions, yardage, and targets, while also being second in yards per reception. This is a deeper look, but if Bo Nix and Franklin start heating up like they did in college, they are well worth a stash on volume and chemistry alone.

Cade Otton TE Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Rostered in 24.0% of leagues)

When it comes to the tight end position in fantasy football, consistency is key. In a year where the position has not been as high scoring as in previous seasons, Cade Otton has been as consistent as it comes. Otton has had seven or more points in the last two weeks, with 9.5 points against the Saints. Achieving this without registering a touchdown is very impressive, which means he’s not touchdown-dependent in fantasy football. A tough matchup against Baltimore should be the true test, making him worth a stash on a Buccaneers offense that loves to throw the football.
