  • 7:15PM CST: Baltimore Ravens -4 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Total 50

This should be a great game; at least it is looking that way on paper. We took a beating yesterday betting bad teams against good ones. In this matchup, we have two great offenses against two hit-or-miss defenses. The Ravens pass defense has been poor all season, but they were great against one of the hottest teams in the NFL, the Washington Commanders. Tampa Bay continues to fly under the radar with only two losses.

I think this game will come down not to the pass defenses but to the rush defense. Both quarterbacks should be able to move the ball through the air. Baltimore has a much stronger rush defense than the Bucs. The Buccaneers will be without CB Jamel Dean once again, which is not good news. I think we will have a shootout tonight. I’m not so sure this turns into a slugfest. Tampa will be forced to throw the football, and I’m sure they’ll be happy to oblige. This is still a coin flip game to me, with the chances of it coming down to a field goal being very much a possibility. I’ll take the points. The first team to turn the ball over loses the game.

  • 8:00PM CST: Los Angeles Chargers -1 vs. Arizona Cardinals; Total 44

I like this matchup tonight. The Chargers' ground-and-pound style goes up against a weak Arizona Cardinals defense. The Cardinals have struggled to stop both the run and the pass. This will be a tough matchup for the Arizona offense as well. Can they bounce back after getting smacked by the Packers? I still feel we don’t know how good the Chargers are. We do know they have an offensive line, a competent QB, a ground-and-pound attack, and a better defense than Arizona. I just don’t see it here with the Cardinals. Give me the Chargers for all the reasons just listed.
