Those of you who have been following us during the Women’s College Basketball season know that we closely follow women’s hoops. This will now translate to the WNBA season and the anticipated debut week of Caitlin Clark. This has created a massive wave of new support and fandom for the WNBA product that has been dormant. I will have more details on these handicaps as the season progresses, but for now, I just have the plays posted. We are diving in headfirst as we always do. Good luck to the WNBA and all the new fans hoping to revive this league.
6:00PM CT: New York Liberty -8.5 vs. Indiana Fever; Total 169.5
The NY Liberty were in a track meet against the Washington Mystics in their first game of the season. The Fever were a little overwhelmed when they faced off against the Connecticut Sun. The defense of the Sun gave Caitlin Clark and the rest of the Fever nightmares. Clark had 10 turnovers and 25 as a team. Not good! Will Caitlin Clark be able to get her teammates involved, cut down on the fouls and turnovers? It’s obviously early in her WNBA career but her debut was a tough one. Sabrina Ionescu will look to take advantage of the lack of Fever defense. I’m a Caitlin Clark fan but after watching this Fever team play against the Sun it is very clear that teams are looking to give Clark their best game. This Liberty offense is too talented for the Fever defense.
