We are a week away from golf’s second Major, the PGA Championship, which will be held at Valhalla. However, before that, we have the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. This will be the sixth Signature Event of the season. Unfortunately, two of the world’s top players, Scottie Scheffler and Ludvig Aberg, will not be participating this weekend. Despite their absence, the field remains strong, including last season’s champion, Wyndham Clark.
Some other players in the field will be three-time winner Rory McIlroy and two-time winner Max Homa. Last weeks playoff winner, Taylor Pendrith will also be in the field along with runner up Ben Kohles. The other two players playing in their first Signature Event this season will be Billy Horschel and Kevin Tway. As we know all too well, without Scottie Scheffler in the field, anyone can win this weekend. It looks like has been rain and Thunderstorms this week in Charlotte. It looks like there will be a cold front that hits North Carolina on Thursday with thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. There should also be wind gusts around 20mph on Thursday. This looks to be the type of weather until the weekend when it looks like the sun will finally be making an appearance without any rain. Who will survive and make the weekend?
Last weekend at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson we absolutely dominated with our matchup wagers, avoiding a losing Round, cashing over 13 units. We look to build on that type of performance again for the Wells Fargo Championship. It is a shorter field due to it being a Signature Event but we will do our best to keep this thing rolling. As you will see, we are still staying aggressive especially with a shorter field. We trust our numbers. Let’s go!
