  • 7:15pm cst: Buffalo Bills -2.5 vs. New York Jets; Total 44.5

This line has not moved much since this morning. Bills ticked .5 and the total down .5. This is a top AFC East showdown and they get the prime spot for Monday Night Football. Like every NFL primetime game, we will get have a play on the spread and total. MNF is the notorious get out game from the weekend so we like to give out a handicap on the spread and total.

The Bills have had a little drama during the offseason with Stefon Digg, Josh Allen and HC Sean McDermott. Who knows what is real and what is speculation. The Jets have been in the news plenty with the offseason addition of Aaron Rodgers and also being on Hard Knocks.

What we do know is that the Jets played the Bills tough multiple times but did not have a QB to put up points on the scoreboard to seal the deal. Enters: Aaron Rodgers. Will this be the missing piece to catapult the Jets to the top of the AFC East? The Jets’ defense gives Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense trouble. If Aaron Rodgers is the missing piece we will most likely find out tonight. The offensive line will be playing so will Breece Hall. Away teams are (12-3) ATS so far in the NFL Week 1 but yall know I do not care about trends because they never tell the whole story and one could use a trend to try and justify any position.

Tonight, I like the Jets at home. Not because of the crowd but because of their defense. I think they will be coming into this game focused on offense with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. It is also their opportunity to make their name as a real AFC player. They were an embarrassment on offense last year and he did not have a great season. Rodgers will be looking to bounce back along with the Jets’ offense. This matchup also tends to go under. There was rain again today but should be cleared up by kickoff. It is also a turf field so it should not matter too much. I can see a defensive showdown. Maybe a 20-17 or 24-20 game.

Pick: Jets +2.5 (-110) & Under 44.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]
