Fortunately for us we again have the opportunity to fade this Celtics team. This is what the spread should have been when the Celtics were at home. Now Boston is favored by 4.5 on the road? These oddsmakers still think the Celtics are playing the Sixers. They are forcing us to explain again that his Miami team prides itself on defense and toughness. The Celtics have proved they lack toughness - mental and physical. Where is Jayson Tatum? We have praised Tatum but we have also called him out for being a no show like in the Finals last season. Tatum is teetering into that James Harden zone where he flops and tries to sell light contact to try and get FTs. Jaylen Brown? No show. Grant Williams got in Jimmy Butler’s face but at least he was the only to show up at the end of the game making the teams last 3 FGs. This series and every series the Miami Heat are in prove that coaching, effort, defense and toughness can still win you games in the NBA. What Erik Spoelstra, Jimmy Butler and this Heat are doing is wild. Effort and toughness - two forgotten skills in today’s NBA are maybe making a comeback.
