6:00pm cst: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies (-1)
Lakers take home the win in game one on the back of Anthony Davis and the clutch play by some role players. Rui Hachimura who the Lakers stole from the Wizards (which I thought was a great move) went off in the 2H especially from 3PT range. The Lakers outmatch the Grizzlies with their size and took advantage by snagging 12 more rebounds. Memphis without Stephen Adams or Brandon Clarke are severely missed. Now, the Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant, which they typically are solid without him but not while missing so many big bodies. I like the Lakers here. Can’t risk riding with an undersized Memphis team. Grizzlies win if they make 20 3PT, which isn’t crazy but I don’t see it against a determined Lakers team.
Pick: Lakers +1
Dennis Schroeder Points Over 8.5 (-115)
Jaren Jackson Jr. Points, Rebounds & Assists Over 31.5 (-120)
8:00pm cst: Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks (-6.5)
Giannis out of this game due to his back issues. Heat dominated game 1 after the Giannis injury and will look to have an incredible advantage going up 2 games heading back to Miami. The Bucks have played without Giannis in the playoffs before and put up great performances. I suspect they knew he was going to be out tonight so they should be prepared. The home crowd will be very into this game. I like the Bucks and their experience to take over in a must win home game.
Pick: Bucks -6.5
Brook Lopez Points, Rebounds & Assists Over 25.5 (-110)
Kris Middleton Points Over 22.5 (-125)
9:00pm cst: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets (-8)
The Denver Nuggets are the #1 seed for a reason. They have one of the deepest benches in the NBA and are at full health. The Timberwolves are a bit outmatched here without its full roster. Missing Naz Reid and McDaniels is huge for its bench. Nuggets won by 30 and the spread didn’t move. Maybe, if the T-Wolves had a healthy roster this might be a buy spot but not at 8 points. Nuggets take care of business. No player props for me due to another possible blowout. If you are interested I like: Kyle Anderson points over, Jokic points over and Michael Porter Jr. points or PRA overs.
Pick: Nuggets -8 (-115)
***The other games will be posted once more lineup information is available.
