NBA Playoffs Record: (7-11)
12:00pm cst: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies (-4)
This should be a great game. The Lakers will be at full health against a very hungry Grizzlies team. Memphis thinks they are the best team in the NBA and it’s playoff time to prove it. The Grindhouse will be loud and these home teams thus far have really shown up especially from the 3PT line. I think Memphis will make its shots and win this one. Spread should be at least 5.
Pick: Grizzlies -4
4:30pm cst: Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks (-9.5)
The Heat come limping into the playoffs and one could argue that they should not even be in the 8th seed. The Hawks killed them in Miami and then the Bulls had an incredible choke by not scoring in the final 4 minutes. The Bucks are rested and healthy which could mean a world of trouble for the Heat. I think the Bucks make quick work of the Heat in this series.
Pick: Bucks -9.5
7:00pm cst: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns (-7.5)
We have a Western Conference rivalry in the 1st round. Unfortunately we will probably not see Paul George in this series but that has allowed playing time for the other younger players to get more playing time. Kawhi vs. Durant. Westbrook going against his old teammate Durant. Devin Booker looking to get back to the finals with the help of Durant of course. I like the Clippers here and I hope Kawhi plays defense on Durant. He may not to save energy on offense but don’t underestimate Ty Lue’s coaching.
Pick: Clippers +7.5
9:00pm cst: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets (-8)
The last time these two faced off, D’Agelo Russell was still on the Timberwolves. Minnesota has been playing well its past two play in games but Denver is rested and healthy and I think the Timberwolves come back to earth a bit.
Pick: Nuggets -8
***The other games will be posted once more lineup information is available.
