NBA Playoffs Record: (6-9)

  • 12:00pm cst: Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers (-8.5)

It feels like these two haven’t been in action for some time with the Play-In games going on. Heavy expectations in Philadelphia with possible NBA MVP Joel Embiid ready to lead his team to the NBA Finals but will they make it? The newly assembled Nets team played fairly well together after the All-Star break and will look to keep this series tight against the 76ers. The one time these two faced off with healthy rosters the Nets kept the game close. I think the same will happen here. This spread is a bit large even though the 76ers should have a raucous crowd. I like the Nets and its veterans to keep this game close.

Pick: Nets +8.5

  • 2:30pm cst: Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics (-10)

The defending Eastern Conference Champions the Boston Celtics begin their quest to get back to the Finals. It will be a little tougher this season as the East has grown stronger in my opinion. They will face the Play-In winning Atlanta Hawks with new head coach Quin Snyder who has plenty of playoff experience. The Celtics have struggled towards the end of the season with larger spreads and I think that will continue. I expect big games from Jayson Tatum and Trae Young. Hawks have enough scoring to keep this game close. Too many points.

Pick: Hawks +10

Trae Young Over 25.5 Points (-105)

  • 7:30pm cst: Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings (-1)

Ok, it has been a rough start for us in the NBA with the wild 3PT shooting in the 76ers game and the Hawks lose the cover by 3 points who couldn’t buy a 3PT bucket. Loved the Knicks but didn’t bet them after the way today has gone. That is the type of day it has been. I like the Kings in this game because it is their first home playoff games in almost two decades. They are a great home team and the Warriors are terrible on the road. Give me the Kings here as we look to bounce back.

Pick: Kings -1

***The other games will be posted once more lineup information is available.
