6:30pm cst: Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat (-5)
It’s finally time for the NBA playoffs to begin and we get started with an Eastern Conference 7th vs. 8th place matchup. This is an odd number to have in this game. I would have thought it would be a shorter number. Miami was successful against Atlanta this season going 3-1 and also going 3-1 ATS. Both teams are fairly healthy and the Hawks will have Quin Snyder on the sidelines. I rather go with history and lay the number with the Heat expecting a great defensive performance to insure they get into the playoffs. Many of the props for the Heat players are too high but I don’t want to play under on them as we have the Heat -5.
Pick: Heat -5
Caleb Martin Points Over 8.5 (-125)
9:00pm cst: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers (-8.5)
I was expecting to play the Lakers in this game but this line has gotten out of control all the way to 8.5 points. Rudy Gobert will be out of this game and that is a huge advantage for Minnesota as he is as slow as concrete drying. These young T-Wolves should be ready to play even without Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels. The Minnesota bench will be depleted but it is the playoffs and I expect a big game from Anthony Edwards. There has been so much drama for Minnesota the past week. Let’s see if they come out of this game focused with Gobert out of the picture.
Pick: T-Wolves +8.5
Over 233 Points (-110)
Anthony Davis Points Over 25.5 (-130)
Kyle Anderson Points, Assists & Rebounds Over 26.5 (-110)
***The other games will be posted once more lineup information is available.
