NBA Turn Up: Monday Preview

The objective of the series: NBA Turn Up

  • 6:00pm cst: Indiana Pacers (-3.5) vs. Detroit Pistons

There are a ton of players sitting out this game, which means there are not many prop options until the starting lineups are posted. Both of these teams matched up two days ago and the Pacers won by 6 points. This is definitely not a game I am interested in with so many injuries and players sitting out. Crap shoot. I don’t have any number for Duarte, Nembhard or Jalen Duren or else I would have some plays for yall.

Pick: NA

  • 6:30pm cst: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Atlanta Hawks (-5.5)

These two have not played each other in over a year. The Hawks have a winning record against the Western Conference and the Timberwolves have a losing record against the East. All of Minnesota’s losses have been more than 5 points. I like Atlanta here as HC Quin Snyder has these Hawks ready to make the playoffs.

Pick: Hawks -5.5

Dejounte Murray Over 32.5 Points, Assists & Rebounds (-115)

  • 6:30pm cst: Utah Jazz vs. Miami Heat (-8)

The Miami Heat will have Kyle Lowry back in the lineup tonight and Utah will be without Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson has been out a few games now and per Spoelstra, Lowry will come off the bench. This number is a bit too high for me to lay with Miami if Lari Markkanen is still in the lineup for Utah. There are some good props I like though. Olynyk can put up points unless Markkanen goes for 30+ and that is always possible. Utah struggles with strong guards so this is the way I’m leaning.

Pick: Kelly Olynyk Over 11.5 Points (-115)

Jimmy Butler Over 23.5 Points (-120)

Tyler Herro Over 20.5 Points (-120)

  • 6:30pm cst: Memphis Grizzlies (-3.5) vs. Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks will be without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving tonight. These two just faced each other a couple days ago with Memphis winning by 4 points. This number looks a bit tight and when there are injuries teams usually play up but the second time around it’s usually a let down. I can see the Mavericks having a down game here. It’s just natural. I would take the Grizzlies here who have much better talent and are a deeper team. Dallas also usually struggles against Memphis even without Ja Morant. I do like Jaden Hardy points props but as of right now I don’t see any posted.

Pick: Grizzlies (-3.5)

Josh Green Over 14.5 Points (-120)

Xavier Tillman Over 10.5 Points (-130)

  • 7:00pm cst: Boston Celtics (-12.5) vs. Houston Rockets

This should be a blowout you would think so I have no interest in the side but there are some buy low opportunities on some Houston Rockets players. The Celtics guards usually take advantage of the lack of defense from Houston so you can look towards Brown and Tatum. Alperen Segun will be out so let’s look towards the Rockets point scorers.

Pick: Kenyon Martin Jr. Over 13.5 Points (-110)

Jalen Green Over 22.5 Points (-115)

  • 9:00pm cst: Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors (-4.5)

Great Western Conference game tonight. I like the Warriors at home but this number feels a little high even but Durant is out of the lineup. So the Warriors look like a good side here but I may just stick with the props. I don’t see DiVincenzo having another crazy game so I’m going with Poole here with a nice plus price and Ayton to take advantage of a small Warriors lineup.

Pick: Deandre Ayton Over 18.5 Points (—110)

Jordan Poole Over 20.5 Points (+105)

  • 9:00pm cst: Milwaukee Bucks (-3.5) vs. Sacramento Kings

Bucks are coming off a loss to the Warriors and the Kings a win against the Suns. Bucks have a nice history against the Kings but this is a new team with plenty of confidence. Giannis will be playing tonight. This would be a great time to take the points with the Kings but I expect a tight game. This could turn into a track meet so I like point totals going over.

Pick: Malik Monk Over 13.5 Points (-115)

De’Aaron Fox Over 25.5 Points (-125)

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 47.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-120)
