NBA Turn Up: Daily Preview

Let’s try something new with the NBA and the rest of the season. Now that college basketball is coming to a close and the NBA trade deadline has passed it’s time that we give more focus to the NBA and its world wide fan base. I recently watched a video where Shaquille O’Neal was telling a story where his dad called him during a game. The security guard behind the bench hands Shaq the phone and his father asks, “Why are you playing like a little bitch? Turn it up Motherfucker”. Shaq story. That is where the name of this new series comes from so anytime we are talking NBA look for this title. It’s to serve as a reminder that if you don’t lace ‘em up every night ready to turn up then you will get embarrassed on the hardwood.

The objective of the series will be to share different NBA commentary, recaps and gambling insight into the night’s games. The NBA is a year round soap opera hated by many but we’re here for the non woke basketball some fans around the world still love.

  • [ROT #539]: Toronto Raptors (-2) vs. Washington Wizards; total 222.5; 6:00pm

The Raptors have had plenty of success against the Wizards especially on the road. Toronto has won 6 straight road games vs. Washington. The Raptors are starting to get back into the groove of things as they are now healthy looking to solidify a playoff spot. I’m siding with the road team here.

  • [Player Prop]: Kyle Kuzma Under 21.5 points (-120)

Kuzma has struggled against the long Raptors defense. He has only scored more than 10 points once against the Raptors as a member of the Wizards. I’ll go back to the well and back the Toronto defense to give him ore difficulties.

  • [Player Prop]: Joel Embiid Under 46.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-110)

Embiid is coming into this game with a little bit of a foot issue and its also a back to back. Sixers are coming off a win last night in Miami. This number is about the peak when Embiid plays on the road against Dallas. I feel this number is just a bit too high.

  • [ROT #546]: LA Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors (+3.5); total 231.5; 9:00pm

The Clippers have loss 3 games in a row and the Warriors have won 3 games in a row. Is it because Russell Westbrook has messed up the chemistry and rotations? Possibly. Klay Thompson has been playing like his old self lately, which is scary for the Western Conference. I don’t feel GSW should be underdogs here at home where they have had been successful this season. I’ll take the home dog in a primetime spot fading the Clippers possible chemistry issues.
