Las Vegas Summer League Record: (0.00 units) - Olympics Friendlies (-0.13 units)

  • 3:00PM CST: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic -4.5; Total 178.5

The Orlando Magic have been taking money for the past two days. I believe this opened up at 1.5 or 2.5 and I’m not sure why. The Magic will have Anthony Black, Jett Howard and this year’s draft pick Tristan De Silva. Not the strongest nor do they have the most experience across the rest of the roster. Maybe Jarrett Culver and Ed Croswell can get some buckets. They will be facing last year’s Champions. In my opinion the Cavs are brining a squad! Starting with Emoni Bates, DJ Burns II, Hunter Cattoor (3PT shooter), Dexter Dennis (A&M), Pete Nance, Craig Porter Jr., Nae’qwan Tomlin and Jaylon Tyson. A few of these were on last year’s team. I’m taking this Cavs team looking to prove themselves to the new coaching staff.

  • 4:00PM CST: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Minnesota Timberwolves -5.5; Total 181

The T-Wolves were one of the most underrated teams last year. They could score and played tough defense. The Pelicans were pretty good too but they lost their leader Dyson Daniels to a trade to ATL. I’m not seeing any talent on this team compared to Minnesota. The Wolves will have Jaylen Clark (UCLA), Rob Dillingham, Jaedon LeDee, Leonard Miller (watch him), Daishen Nix, Josh Minott (glove) and Terrance Shannon Jr. This team is stacked. I expect a blowout here if Minnesota plays with the same energy as last year.

  • 5:00OPM CST: Sacramento Kings vs. Memphis Grizzlies -6.5; Total 180.5

The Grizzlies have been taking money the past couple days. Most likely because of the way Zach Edey played in his debut. Sacramento had plenty of reps in with both of their teams playing separately this past weekend. Doug Christie has these Kings players coached up playing physical defense, fast and aggressive. I like the Kings in this one. Grizzlies have a strong roster and the talent of both sides is close. I’ll take the points. I am also taking a shot on the ML.

  • 6:30PM CST: Houston Rockets -8 vs. Los Angeles Lakers; Total 183.5

The Rockets were the runners up last year and bring back some of that young talent. The Lakers played this past weekend in California and was not impressive. At all. They bring the same roster to Vegas. I took this at -4.5 and gave it out this morning at -6 for Houston. I think this Rockets team will play aggressive especially on defense like they did last year. Other than Dalton Knecht there is hardly any talent on this Lakers team. I stand by my position saying the Rockets will win by more than 15 points. Lay the 8.

  • 7:00PM CST: Brooklyn Nets vs. Indiana Pacers -2.5; Total 179.5

This is an easy one for me. There is hardly any NBA talent on the Nets’ roster. It is just a fact. The Pacers have some players that have plenty of experience and NBA Playoff experience. I’ll take my chances with the Pacers.

Play: Pacers -2.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 8:30PM CST: Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards -6; Total 179

The Atlanta Hawks played poorly last year during summer league and looking at this roster, it looks like the same will happen this year. The Wizards have some talent to work with. I am laying it with the Wizards.

Play: Wizards -6 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 9:00PM CST: Denver Nuggets -2 vs. Los Angeles Clippers; Total 180.5

Not a ton of talent in this game. The Nuggets do have more of it though. Some veteran college players and most of these guys got experience last year. Give me the Nuggets.

Play: Nuggets -2 (-110) [via DraftKings]

*The rest coming up later due to line movement. Letting it settle a bit for our benefit.
