NBA Turn Up - Playoffs Day 21
NBA Playoffs Sides Record: (-10.73 Units) — Betting 1 Unit to Win X
It’s time for the NBA Playoffs! We had a great NBA season winning over seven units but it’s time for the playoffs. We will have plays on the spread for each game as we did last season when we were very successful. This season we are including our props that are also good to use in PrizePicks lineups from our Prop Department. I will be sticking to sides only after a rough Day 1. Let’s go!
6:00PM CT: New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers -7; Total 222.5
The Pacers have been in every one of the first two games in New York against the Knicks. They just haven’t been able to close any. Whether it be due to cheap whistles going the Knicks’ way, the failure of late minutes for their best defender, TJ McConnell, or Tyrese Haliburton’s lack of a killer instinct, there have been many factors that have led to the Pacers’ shortcomings in the first two games. The New York Knicks, on the other hand, have found ways to win without placing blame elsewhere. Jalen Brunson played injured while fueling a huge come-from-behind win in Game 2. The Knicks will be without OG Anunoby tonight, but they have great numbers with the starting lineup of Brunson, McBride, DiVincenzo, Hart, and Hartenstein. This is a massive spread correction from the first two games. Indiana went from +5 to now -7. That is a 13-point swing, which is massive. The Pacers opened up as -4.5 favorites, but the number has flown a bit too far. I expect better rotations from Rick Carlisle and an effort from the Pacers, but this is still a huge swing. I have to back the Knicks based on principle. I’ll take the points and see what happens. The Pacers have yet to be really tested at home after playing an injured Bucks team.
