NBA Playoffs Sides Record: (-13.28 Units) — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

It’s time for the NBA Playoffs! We had a great NBA season winning over seven units but it’s time for the playoffs. We will have plays on the spread for each game as we did last season when we were very successful. This season we are including our props that are also good to use in PrizePicks lineups from our Prop Department. I will be sticking to sides only after a rough Day 1. Let’s go!

  • 8:35PM CT: Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder -5; Total 218

The Mavericks had a poor showing in Game 1 against the Clippers after being dominated on the glass. The same happened against the Thunder in Game 1. OKC dominated the offensive boards even though they are the “smaller” team. The Thunder are deep and the bench played a huge role. The Mavericks have two stars in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving but the rest of the team will need to step up as they get deeper into the playoffs. In the NBA the teams with a deeper roster have more success as we saw last year with the Nuggets and this year with the Timberwolves and Celtics. The New York Knicks seem to be the exception. I saw a video of the Mavericks dancing at practice today so they seem to be pretty loose after the Game 1 defeat. I think Dallas bounces back just like they did against the Clippers after Game 1. I expect a more spirited effort defensively from Dallas and on the glass. This line should be much closer to -4 OKC for me.
