NBA Playoffs Sides Record: (-8.01 Units) — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

It’s time for the NBA Playoffs! We had a great NBA season winning over seven units but it’s time for the playoffs. We will have plays on the spread for each game as we did last season when we were very successful. This season we are including our props that are also good to use in PrizePicks lineups from our Prop Department. I will be sticking to sides only after a rough Day 1. Let’s go!

  • 6:00pm ct: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic -4; Total 200

In Game 5, the Cavaliers were without Jarrett Allen, which significantly influenced the game. Without Allen on the floor, the Magic managed to outrebound the Cavs. In my opinion, the Magic have faced challenges due to their lack of experience. They have struggled at the free-throw line, failed to make open three-point shots, and committed constant turnovers. This Magic team is likely a year away from making a series run, but I believe they will find success in Game 6. Orlando has performed well at home, and after a spirited effort in Game 5 in Cleveland - something they had been lacking - I think that will provide them with the confidence they need for tonight’s game. Regardless of Allen’s presence, I believe Orlando will play well and force a Game 7

Prop: Donovan Mitchell 3 Pointers Made OVER 2.5 (-115) [via DraftKings]

  • 9:00pm ct: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks -8; Total 208

The Clippers put forth another embarrassing effort in Game 5, with Paul George and James Harden essentially being no-shows. The last time that happened, they stepped into Dallas for the next game and were unstoppable. What a performance that was in Game 4! Will they be able to replicate that on the road with all the pressure on the line? Luka finally had his breakout in Game 5 as well. Something’s got to give tonight. With contract rumors swirling around Paul George, the pressure continues to mount for this Clippers team. I expect another huge night from the Clippers, starting with their stars, Paul George and James Harden. Their performance disappointed me the last time out, but it was my own fault after setting our number at -4.5 and not backing the Mavericks. Now that it’s at -8, I am going back with the Clips.
