2023 NBA Draft
2023 NBA Draft Wagers (via Draft Kings - BetOnline is below - 1 unit wager to win x):
Player Draft Position: Anthony Black OVER 8.5 (+260)
I would have expected Black to go under 8.5 to the Wizards but from the sounds of it they are involved in a 3 way deal that would land them PG Tyus Jones from the Grizzlies so now this seems very likely he goes passed the Wizards unless a team trades up for him.
Player Draft Position: Grady Dick UNDER 10.5 (+320)
I can see a situation where the Utah Jazz draft Dick at 9 or Dallas at 10 or a team trades up for him. This is a steep number and one worth taking a shot with. Dick can shoot the leather off the basketball, hustles and moves well without the ball. Not to mention he is a great athlete.
Player Draft Position: Jalen Hood-Schifino OVER 14.5 (+130)
I probably watched every Indiana basketball game this passed season and I would definitely choose not to draft Hood-Schifino in the top 14. I rate Grady Dick, Kobe Bufkin, Andre Hawkins and other players higher than Hood-Schifino. He is inconsistent. Turn the film on from the NCAA Tournament. He was locked up top some tough defenses in Kent State and Miami. Far too often he shot below 30% from the field.
Player Draft Position: Jarace Walker UNDER 6.5 (+100)
With the rumors swirling about Cam Whitmore’s physical not having the best results, which is pure speculation, I can see Walker going to Detroit. He will pair nicely with Jalen Duren.
Player Draft Positions: Jordan Hawkins UNDER 15.5 (+105)
It is disrespectful to call Hawkins one of the most underrated players in this draft because he could be one of the top five in this class when it is all said and done. Hawkins is a dead-eye shooter who should be a hot commodity and should not be around passed 15.
Player Draft Positions: Kobe Bufkin OVER 12.5 (+150)
At 6’4” Kobe Bufkin has an aggressive offensive game and plays with confidence. He should be able to play at the NBA but the way we have the draft playing out he would be an odd man out of the top 12 picks.
1st Round Pick: Jordan Walsh (+275)
Walsh has the perfect size for an NBA wing defender. He also can shoot from the outside and is athletic. His issue at Arkansas was he fouled too much causing him to foul out and the Razorbacks would soon lose after that happened.
1st Round Pick: Andre Jackson Jr. (+500)
I will be shocked if Jackson does not go in the 1st round. He is the prototypical insane NBA athlete. As I mentioned in the Spurs article he reminds me of Shawn Marion.
1st Round Pick: Adama Sanogo (+4000)
Sanogo made us so much money during the NCAA Tournament it would be disrespectful not to take a flier on him at this price. If the Kings were smart they would draft him and maybe they could win a rebounding battle. He will fit into the Keon Looney mold for his NBA game. An absolute bruiser who wants to only destroy backboards and grab every rebound. Wherever he goes it will be a steal for that team.
2023 NBA Draft Wagers (via BetOnline):
Number of Freshman Drafted in 1st Round: Over 15 (-130)
This draft is filled with talented freshman that I believe will have the upper hand over some European players.
Number of Juniors Drafted in 1st Round: Over 2.5 (+160)
I am thinking Kris Murray from Iowa goes in the 1st round, Andre Jackson Jr. from UCONN and either Olivier-Maxence Prosper from Marquette or Colby Jones from Xavier. There is the outside chance Adama Sanogo from UCONN or Julian Strawther from Gonzaga goes late.
Total Trades Made in the 1st Round: Under 8 (-130)
I know this could be a crazy draft in regards to trades but this is incredibly high. Make sure to read the rules for this one. It sounds like trades only made during the live showing of the draft count towards this number. The rules could be dicey so it would be ok to pass.
