MLB Handicaps Wednesday

Yesterday’s DDSN Player of the Day was Isaac Paredes from Hermosilo, Mexico who was 2/3 with 2 HR, 5 RBI & 2 Runs.

Follow us on twitter after we get y’all some winners! This will help us grow as we continue to dominate MLB.

These prices are per Draft Kings, which are similar to FanDuel if those are available to you. Some use off shore accounts that have more juice than what is listed or are unavailable. If H+R+RBI is unavailable to you then I suggest you split a 1 unit bet 33% each or whatever % you’d like to 1 or 2 hits, 1 run & 1 RBI. You should get + money on 2/3 of those and that will help long term. Or find a way to pair them up in 2’s or 3’s (parlay). For baseball season, I personally bet 1 unit to win X and don’t lay more than -160. This refers most to player props. Questions? Just ask!

Early Slate

  • 2:00pm cst: Minnesota Twins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (-135)

What a great early game pitching matchup between my personal American League Cy Young leader Sonny Gray against Dustin May. Sonny has been almost unhittable and Dustin May has only allowed more than 5 hits once in his passed 7 starts. I thought this total would be around 7.5 so at 8.5 I will play under here in an LA day game.

Pick: Under 8.5 (+100)

  • 2:00pm cst: Cincinnati Reds vs. Colorado Rockies (-110)

The Reds will have Graham Ashcraft on the mound who has been having a solid under the radar season for Cinci. Austin Gomber for Colorado has struggled and the Reds love to face LHP. A little surprised this is priced at a pick um. I’ll take the Reds here in what I think is a misprice on Ashcraft.

Pick: Reds (-110)

  • 2:30pm cst: Arizona Diamondbacks (-165) vs. Oakland Athletics

Oakland pulled off an extra innings win last night and will have rookie Luis Medina who struggled in his first start but settle down a bit in his 2nd against Texas. At a plus price (obviously, it’s Oakland) I will take a shot here buying on Medina and fading Ryne Nelson who I am not a fan of.

Pick: Athletics (+140)

  • 2:30pm cst: Philadelphia Phillies (-115) vs. San Francisco Giants

The Phillies will be starting Taijuan Walker against Ross Stripling in what may be a lackluster pitching matchup. Walker has not been great but has been better than Stripling. I like the Phillies’ numbers against Stripling with a cheap price today.

Pick: Phillies (-115)

  • 3:00pm cst: Kansas City Royals vs. San Diego Padres (-275)

We were a day late on the Royals as they beat the Padres last night. On paper this is a huge pitching mismatch. Darvish is having a solid start to his season and the Royals’ starter Carlos Hernandez is making his first 2023 start. He has a high ERA from 2022 and little suggests that may change. I’ll take runs here.

Pick: Over 8.5 (-115)

  • 5:30pm cst: Los Angeles Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles (-155)

This is a fairly cheap price on the Orioles and Kyle Bradish against Griffin Canning and the Angels. Bradish has been rolling and so has this Baltimore offense.

Pick: Orioles (-155)

  • 5:30pm cst: Washington Nationals vs. Miami Marlins (-125)

Miami completed a great comeback in the 9th inning last night to steal one against the Nationals. Now, Edward Cabrera and the Marlins will be taking on MacKenzie Gore. I was hoping this total was 8.5 to play the under but it’s at 7.5. Too close. I’ll take the fish here because of their success against LHP and Cabrera on the mound with the over.

Pick: Marlins (-125)

Over 7.5 (-115)

  • 6:00pm cst: New York Yankees (-120)vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Great AL East pitching matchups with Gerrit Cole going against Chris Bassitt. I like the success the Blue Jays offense has had against Cole so I will grab the plus price with the home team. Bassitt has been strong this year and I’m hoping it continues tonight.

Pick: Blue Jays (+100)

  • 6:00pm cst: Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Mets (-125)

The Rays are underdogs against the Mets? I know Kodai Senga is on the mound for New York but this is quite the numbers. The Mets are poor especially against LHP so it does not make sense to me. I’m buying on the Rays. Top Prospect 3B Mark Vientos will be making his MLB debut for the Mets hoping to bring a spark to the lineup.

Pick: Rays (+105)

Mark Vientos H+R+RBI Over 1.5 (+100)

Mark Vientos HR (+600)

  • 6:00pm cst: Seattle Mariners vs. Boston Red Sox (-130)

We have talked about last week and that is the Red Sox’ Brayan Bello has been improving this season. The Red Sox also kill LHP so the price makes sense here against Marco Gonzales. Back to back games with plenty of runs so will this one go under? I feel safer just taking the Red Sox tonight.

Pick: Red Sox (-130)

  • 6:30pm cst: Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals (-120)

This has been a great back and forth series. Nolan Arenado is absolutely on fire and tonight we have a nice pitching matchup. Corbin Burnes vs. Matthew Liberatore who will be making his first start of 2023. I rather take Burnes and the Brewers against a lefty than Liberatore making his first MLB start at plus money.

Pick: Brewers (+100)
