Dirtbags MLB Sunday

Yesterday’s DDSN Player of the Day was the San Diego Padres’ offense. They took advantage of the elevation and thin air in Mexico City and exploded at the plate.

Follow us on twitter after we get y’all some winners! This will help us grow as we continue to dominate MLB.

These prices are per Draft Kings, which are similar to FanDuel if those are available to you. Some use off shore accounts that have more juice than what is listed or are unavailable. If H+R+RBI is unavailable to you then I suggest you split a 1 unit bet 33% each or whatever % you’d like to 1 or 2 hits, 1 run & 1 RBI. You should get + money on 2/3 of those and that will help long term. Or find a way to pair them up in 2’s or 3’s (parlay). For baseball season, I personally bet 1 unit to win X and don’t lay more than -160. This is refers most to player props. Questions? Just ask!

Early Slate

  • 11:00am cst: Chicago Cubs (-170) vs. Miami Marlins

We have a bit of a mismatch on the mound today. The Cubs are starting LHP stud Justin Steele against the Marlins’ newcomer RHP Bryan Hoeing. Hoeing has had a rough go of it his 1st two starts but it was against some of the best offenses in MLB: the Atlanta Braves and LA Dodgers. Steele has been great for us and I plan on leaning on him again and the Cubs batters who enjoy RHP. Cubs also trying to avoid being swept.

Pick: Cubs Team Total Over 4.5 (-115)

Justin Steele Strikeouts Over 5.5 (-120)

Nico Hoerner H+R+RBI Over 2.5 (+120)

Cody Bellinger RBI Over 0.5 (+140)

  • 12:30pm cst: Pittsburgh Pirates (-140) vs. Washington Nationals

This Pirates team is still surging and strongly in 1st place in the National League. Josiah Gray is on the mound for the Nationals who got roughed up the last time he faced the Pirates but that was two years ago. Johan Oviedo for Pittsburgh has been locked in, which makes me want to scoop up the Pirates at a discounted price here. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Pick: Pirates (-140)

Bryan Reynolds H+R+RBI Over 2.5 (+115)

  • 12:30pm cst: Cleveland Guardians vs. Boston Red Sox (-130)

Left handed rookie from Florida International Logan Allen will be on the mound today for the Guardians against Chris Sale and the Red Sox. The Red Sox do fairly decent against LHP. Sale has been consistently bad against the Guardians historically but hasn’t really faced this lineup before. I rather have the plus price with the Guardians as I trust Allen more than Sale right now and the Guardians offense vs. LHP.

Pick: Guardians (+105)

Logan Allen Strikeouts Over 4.5 (-105)

  • 12:30pm cst: Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays (-200)

Seattle’s rookie pitcher gave the Blue Jays every thing they could handle with his no hitter deep into the 7th inning. The Mariners eventually lost 1-0 in extra innings. I want to go back and snag the Mariners with Marco Gonzales at a great + price who has had plenty of success against the Jays. I may add a props once the Mariners post their lineup. So comeback and check.

Pick: Mariners (+170)

  • 12:30pm cst: Baltimore Orioles (-155) vs. Detroit Tigers

Kyle Bradish and the high powered Orioles offense takes on Spencer Turnbull and the Detroit Tigers. Both of these pitchers have been allowing too many runs recently and on a Sunday I like for these offenses to keep up the good work and bang up these pitchers.

Pick: Over 8.5 (-105)

  • 1:00pm cst: Tampa Bay Rays (-195) vs. Chicago White Sox

The Rays went from being no hit in the 7th inning to having a 10 run inning destroying the White Sox. That’s the type of season each team has had thus far. Let’s get a little weird with this one due to our strong starting pitchers in this game.

Pick: Under 9 (-115)

  • 1:00pm cst: Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins (-210)

The Royals avoided the sweep yesterday by stealing a game late against the Twins. Sonny Gray takes the mound today for the Twins who is in rare form and pitching like the AL Cy Young leaders so far. He will be going up against Brady Singer who has been solid for the Royals but not perfect like Gray. I think this will be a pitching duel if Brady can stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, I think Singer will be getting into plenty of trouble today.

Pick: Twins Team Total Over 4.5 (+100)

Byron Buxton H+R+RBI Over 1.5 (-125)

Carlos Correar H+R+RBI Over 1.5 (-115)

Max Kepler H+R+RBI Over 1.5 (-135)

Jorge Polanco H+R+RBI Over 1.5 (-120)

  • 1:00pm cst: Los Angeles Angels vs. Milwaukee Brewers (-125)

This is about the same handicap for the Brewers as it was last night. The role players have great numbers against LHP and the Angels will be throwing Jose Suarez who has been struggling this season. The Brewers’ RHP Collin Rea has been doing a great job after not playing since 2020 and he looks better than ever. I’ll take the Brew Crew once again.

Pick: Brewers (-125)

Joey Wiemer H+R+RBI Over 1.5 (+115)

  • 1:35pm cst: New York Yankees (-125) vs. Texas Rangers

One of the best pitching matchups today will happen down in Texas with Nasty Nestor facing off against Martin Perez. This Rangers lineups hasn’t really faced Cortes yet and the Yankees offense has fairly decent numbers against Perez. It looks dicey but I’m going under here.

Pick: Under 8 (-105)

  • 2:00pm cst: Arizona Diamondbacks (-125) vs. Colorado Rockies

The Diamondbacks love going against LHP and Austin Gomber is not any ace going out there today. This price is too cheap for Ryne Nelson who has been off to a good start and this Arizona offense.

Pick: Diamondbacks (-125)

  • 3:00pm cst: San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres (-145)

This was a fun game in Mexico City with all of the ridiculous offense. This is the 2nd Mexico City game and I expect more of the same. This total is set at 19.5 and last night it was 15.5. I like more offense but more from San Fran Gigantes.

Pick: Over 19.5 (-115)

Mike Yastrzemski Hits Over 1.5 (+155)

Michael Conforto Hits Over 1.5 (+140)

Nelson Cruz Hits Over 1.5 (+130)

  • 3:00pm cst: Cincinnati Reds (-150) vs. Oakland Athletics

This is a simple one for me. Nick Lodolo and the Reds offense who kills LHP against LHP Ken Waldichuck and the Athletics struggle against lefties. Reds lineup mixing things up a bit but I am not worried about it.

Pick: Reds (-140)

  • 3:00pm cst: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (-145)

Noah Syndergaard somewhat struggles against this STL lineup. The Dodger offense has a small sample size against Jake Woodford but they do not have great numbers.

Pick: Cardinals (+125)

Under 10.5 (-115)
