MLB Handicaps: Wednesday

These prices are per Draft Kings, which are similar to FanDuel if those are available to you. Some use off shore accounts that have more juice than what is listed or are unavailable. If H+R+RBI is unavailable to you then I suggest you split a 1 unit bet 33% each or whatever % you’d like to 1 or 2 hits, 1 run & 1 RBI. You should get + money on 2/3 of those and that will help long term. Or find a way to pair them up in 2’s or 3’s (parlay). For baseball season, I personally bet 1 unit to win X and don’t lay more than -165. This refers most to player props. Questions? Just ask!

MLB Units This Week: (0.00 units)

Early Slate

  • NA

Evening Slate

  • 6:00pm cst: Cincinnati Reds (+145) vs. Baltimore Orioles (-170)

Luke Weaver has been very underwhelming this season and with the Orioles coming off a loss I do not see that changing. Kyle Gibson will be on the mound for Baltimore who has been solid all year. These player props are pretty juiced, which tells me let’s play the over.

Pick: Over 9.5 (-115)

  • 6:00pm cst: San Diego Padres (-155) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (+135)

Blake Snell is a solid favorite here against Mitch Keller, which feels like a trap. This Pirates team has loss 8 of its last 10 games. I am not one to back Blake Snell especially on the road but I cannot play the Pirates in their current form. I thought about Juan Soto H+R+RBI over but passing.

Pick: NA

  • 6:00pm cst: San Francisco Giants (-110) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (-110)

Trevor Richards will be on the mound for the Blue Jays who has started twice this season averaging 3 innings pitched. Logan Webb is starting for the hot Giants tonight. This feels like a pitching duel tonight in Toronto.

Pick: Under 8.5 (-110)

  • 6:00pm cst: Milwaukee Brewers (+125) vs. New York Mets (-145)

The Mets have been struggling but someone who has been a constant bright spot is SP Kodai Senga. Wade Miley gets the bump for Milwaukee who is a LHP, which the Mets tend to struggle with. These particular Mets have had some success against Wiley though. Senga is on a two game losing streak and Miley has been dominant. I think it is time to buy low on Senga. I was thinking about the under but the Mets’ success against Miley scares me.

Pick: Mets (-145)

  • 6:00pm cst: Miami Marlins (-130) vs. Boston Red Sox (+110)

The Miami Marlins have not been getting enough credit for the way they have been playing as they have won 7 of their last 10 games. The Red Sox will have RHP Kaleb Ort on the mound making his second start. Not sure how many innings he will go but I doubt it will be more than 3 or 4. LHP Braxton Garrett has been on fire for Miami and even though Boston has success against LHP I am not a fan of Boston starting an opener. I’ll take the streaking Marlins tonight.

Pick: Marlins (-130)

  • 6:45pm cst: Houston Astros (+105) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (-125)

This is a pretty easy one here. The Astros have been struggling but tonight they have Christian Javier on the mound hoping to bounce back. I do not trust Miles Mikolas with the season he has had. I prefer to buy low on the Astros with Javier on the mound after getting rocked by the Mets.

Pick: Astros (+105)

  • 7:05pm cst: Detroit Tigers (+185) vs. Texas Rangers (-215)

The Rangers have lost two games in a row and they have Dane Dunning on the mound at home. This is an easy one for me.

Pick: Rangers -1.5 (-120)

Night Slate

  • 8:38pm cst: Chicago White Sox (+110) vs. Los Angeles Angels (-130)

For the White Sox Lucas Giolito has improved from the way he began the season but this Angels lineup has a history of success against him. Ohtani, Fletcher and Ward have strong numbers against Giolito. The White Sox do not have the same type of success in past games against Jaime Barria. I like the Angels here.

Pick: Angels (-130)

  • 8:40pm cst: New York Yankees (-155) vs. Oakland Athletics (+135)

Domingo German is the stronger pitcher in this matchup against JP Sears. The total is set at 7.5 where I feel like it is 1 run too little but the Oakland offense has cooled since its winning streak. This is such a short number to me I have to take the Yankees in a JP Sears fade.

Pick: Yankees (-155)

  • 8:40pm cst: Tampa Bay Rays (-150) vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (+130)

This is a quick one for me. Zach Davies is ice cold and has been the opposite of Zach Eflin this season. I don’t hate the (-150) but I am going to lay the 1.5 with the Rays coming off a loss.

Pick: Rays -1.5 (+110)
