Neither of these sides have played well in this tournament. The amount of goals called back due to offsides on Belgium, fair or unfair, has made them look like a weak offensive side. The French have only been able to score twice and one of those goals was from a PK. I will say that I think France finally has the best XI on the field in this formation with Mpabbe and Thuram at the top and Griezmann in the middle creating for the forwards. I trust France a bit more than Belgium especially with this lineup. Belgium cannot be trusted based on their play to this point. I think France turns it up when it matters the most like they always do.

The last time we saw Portugal they were defeated 2-0 against Georgia. I don’t put too much stock into that lost as Portugal already had 6 points and won the group. They still did not look promising like Spain when they were in the same situation against Albania. Slovenia has played their stiff competition tough not losing a match in their first three. The last time these two met, Slovenia defeated Portugal 2-0 in an international Friendly in March. They also had a better expected goal mark than Portugal. I think Slovenia will have confidence based on that match and they will be able to keep this game close.
