11:00AM CST: Charleston Cougars -4.5 vs. Southern Illinois Salukis
CoC is highly rated coming into the season in the Southern Conference. Southern Illinois will have a new head coach, Scott Nagy, from Wright State, where he loves to run a high-paced offense. The Texas native also brought in some transfers from the Lone Star State that will help him get acclimated. I like the Salukis' experience playing where Nagy used to coach in South Dakota. Remember, it is the first day of the season. Don’t go crazy because we are still starting to learn about these teams.

2:00PM CST: Santa Clara Broncos -1.5 vs. Saint Louis Billikens
You should remember the Indiana State sensation Robbie Avila; he followed his head coach to Saint Louis. The Billikens have some talent, but of course, they still need to mesh together. Santa Clara does have a roster that has played together, but I like Saint Louis here on a neutral floor in South Dakota.

5:30PM CST: Miami Ohio RedHawks vs. App State Mountaineers -7
The first tip in the MAC vs. Sun Belt matchups. I think the Mountaineers are a bit overvalued here. There is plenty of talent on the RedHawks and this is a matchup where they can keep it close.

6:00PM CST: Texas A&M Aggies -6 vs. UCF Knights
UCF has talent but they have a few new faces that still may need some time to mesh. On the other side, Texas A&M has plenty of familiarity basicaly bringing back their whole team from last season. They even added SMU transfer Zhuric Phelps. We know the Aggies will play tough defense but so will UCF. I want to trust the veteran team in this one.

7:00PM CST: Missouri Tigers vs. Memphis Tigers -4
I like the way Memphis played against North Carolina earlier in the preseason. Mizzou will have a few new players after a veteran team from last season. I think Memphis and it’s size can give Missouri problems.

7:30PM CST Florida Gators -10.5 vs. USF Bulls
The Gators were having some issues holding on to the players that took them dancing last year. USF will be playing with heavy hearts tonight after the sudden loss of their head coach last week. I think this emotional Bulls team can keep this game close.

9:00PM CST: Texas Longhorns -2 vs. Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes are beginning a new era with Jake Diebler as head coach. They bring in a couple transfers like the great Meechie Johnson. Texas has a few transfers themselves. I like this UT defense with Khendall Weaver along witht he additions of NBA talented freshman and Arthur Kaluma. Give me the Texas defense.

10:30PM CST: Baylor Bears vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs -6
Baylor a bit undervalued in my opinion. They have veteran presence and size that can match up with Gonzaga. This should be a great game. I want to take the points with Baylor.
