We are nearing the end of February with March on the horizon. Wild. We have been grinding throughout conference play posting a 102-96-3 52% record. Today we put our 5 day winning streak on the line. We took Friday off as there was no need to force any plays with a slate like that. Now it’s Saturday our hottest day every week. No time to waste so let’s get after it!

Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Indiana Hoosiers (-6); total 142.5; 11:00am ct

This is a Trayce Jackson-Davis game 100%. The Hoosiers are coming off an embarrassing loss on the road to Northwestern. Purdue has loss two games in a row and this is the spot where Jackson-Davis reminds the country what he is capable of. This Indiana team torched Illinois on the road earlier this year and I expect that to happen in Assembly Hall today.

St. Joseph’s Hawks (+5.5) vs. Davidson Wildcats; total 143.5; 11:30am ct

St. Joe’s got smacked around its last game against Duquesne as the Dukes shot 50% making 9 3PT. Davidson has been struggling this season and has not defeated many teams by more than 5 points all year especially in conference. The Wildcats have a tough time with teams that can shoot the ball because they do not have the offense to keep pace. I like Joe’s in a bounce back spot here getting a few too many points.

Iowa State Cyclones vs. Kansas State Wildcats (-3); total 134.5; 1:00pm ct

Earlier in the week when K-State faced off with OU we talked about if the Wildcats drop that game it would have huge implications on NCAA Tournament seeding. Huge win for OU, embarrassing loss for K-State. Marquis Nowell has struggled in back to back games and the Wildcats have loss those games. Nowell dropped 23 points earlier in the year on the road against ISU and now he’s back home. ISU is a totally different team on the road and now they will be in the Octagon of Doom. I’ll take K-State in a desperate game to get back on track before March.

Oklahoma Sate Cowboys vs. TCU Horned Frogs (-6); total 141.5; 1:00pm ct

Yes, Mike Miles Jr. will be suiting up today and I expect the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas to be jumping because its been awhile. There is nothing scarier than a team ready to play after getting the shit kicked out of them for weeks. I am a huge OSU Cowboys supporter but without Avery Anderson III running point guard this team gets lost on offense. They let Kansas run all over them in Gallagher-Iba Arena and I feel that happens again today. No Eddie Lampkin, no problem. This is a punching bag game. It’s TCU’s turn to do the punching.

Villanova Wildcats vs. Providence Friars (-3.5); total 137.5; 3:30pm ct

Villanova has won 3 games in a row but it has come against the bottom of the Big East for the exception of Seton Hall. Providence will be playing at home where they have yet to lose this season. Earlier this season when these two faced the Friars won by 5 and we discussed how the Friars defense would be Nova struggles - they did. If Providence can contain or limit Cam Whitmore, which I expect them to, they will be successful. I feel this number should be closer to 4.5/5. Give me the Friars at the Dunk with a crazy seltzer pounding crowd.

Colorado State Rams vs. Fresno State Bulldogs (-1); total 131.5; 4:00pm ct

Fresno State has come on as of late but its record doesn’t exactly show it. They have been competitive especially at home. In the first meeting of these two the Rams made 14 3PT and won by 22 points. Fresno just loss to San Diego State by 2 points at home. CSU has the Aztecs up next. I think this is a game where the Rams will be looking pass the Bulldogs and Fresno State will catch them napping. I also do not see CSU making 14 3PT again. Give me Fresno in a situational spot.

Duke Blue Devils vs. Syracuse Orange Men (+1.5); total 140.5; 5:00pm ct

This is my favorite game today. Duke is terrible on the road and Syracuse has been a very good team. Again, the Orange are getting zero respect. Syracuse continues to cash us tickets behind great basketball play as one of Coach Boeheim’s best teams in recent memory and nobody talks about them. Duke is 255th in the country in 3PT %. Give me Syracuse all day here. Duke has won 9 of 10 against Syracuse. This isn’t something that goes unnoticed by a coach like Boeheim and I intend on us profiting from it.
