College Hoops Wednesday
Brandon Miller and the Crimson Tide visit struggling Tennessee trying to give the Vols their 3rd loss in a row.
We had two great Big East games that both went into double overtime but we took home those wins to cap off a winning night. Tonight we try for a 4th winning night in a row. Let’s get after it!

Alabama Crimson Tide (+3) vs. Tennessee Volunteers; total 147; 6:00pm ct
Alabama is one of the hottest teams in the country winning 9 of its last 10 games with the lone loss coming to Oklahoma. The Volunteers have been struggling since they defeated the Texas Longhorns at home. They have failed to cover 4 games in a row and loss to Mizzou at home as 12 point favorites. Alabama is a great road team, in great form and has plenty of success against Tennessee. I’ll take the better team on the road getting points here. The Vols may wake up here but I’m not betting on that to happen.
Richmond Spiders vs. LaSalle Explorers (+1); total 137.5; 6:00pm ct
Historically the Spiders have dominated this series but in the second half of the season this is a new LaSalle team under Fran Dunphy. The Explorers have won 4 games in a row and covered its last 5. LaSalle has climbed itself to mid table in the Atlantic 10 standings trying to build momentum going into the A10 conference tournament. LaSalle has cashed tickets for us during this run so I’m going to go back with them here as home dogs.
Kentucky Wildcats vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs (-3); total 128.5; 7:30pm
The Mississippi Bulldogs have come on strong since its home win against TCU. The Bulldogs have won 5 games in a row attempting to salvage its season. This would be a huge win to tack onto the resume. Kentucky has become a difficult team to figure out. They take one step forwards then two steps back. If the front of their uniforms didn’t say Kentucky I’m not so sure this is an NCAA Tournament team. The Bulldogs are coming off a huge win on the road at Arkansas and have a strong home court advantage. I will back MSU you here in a must win game.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Texas A&M Fightin’ Aggies (-3.5); total 138.5; 8:00pm
Which team will show up for Arkansas? Maybe one of the biggest underachieving teams this season. The Razorbacks have all the talent in the world but have yet to put it together for multiple games. A&M on the other hand has been disrespected all season. The Fightin’ Aggies play their best in Reed Arena in front of a loud crowd. A&M played the Razorbacks tight a couple weeks ago but could not make any shots from deep. Texas A&M shoots the ball much better at home and I expect that to be the case tonight. The Fightin’ Aggies are still on the border of receiving an NCAA Tournament invitation so this is a must win game for them and I’m betting they play like it.
Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies (+5.5); total 141.5; 10:00pm ct
The Washington Huskies have been away from home the passed couple of weeks but now return to face the Ducks. This comes at the right time as the Huskies are desperate for a win after losing 4 in a row on the road. Although they lost those games, more importantly they covered the last 3. I feel like this is a perfect bounce back spot for Washington and they have the size in the post to matchup with Oregon. I’ll take the points here with the Huskies.
