College Baseball Tuesday

College Baseball season is making its triumphant return! Following our highly successful run last year, we are back with heightened expectations for an even more thrilling season.

When it comes to our wagers, we place a bet of 1 unit to win x. For baseball, we set a floor at -165. While this might seem like a steep price, there are instances where the number should be -200.

In games where we have both a Money Line (ML) and Run Line (RL) bet, you have the flexibility to choose the price that suits you best, instead of playing both.

College Baseball Record: 13-16-1 (-3.10 units)

  • 2:00pm cst: Northern Kentucky Norse (+140) vs. Cincinnati Bearcats (-180); Total 15.5

NKU comes into this game after a huge weekend. They put up 33 runs and 15 stolen bases, which is good for 2nd in the country. Not only was the offense hot, but the pitching staff notched 32 strikeouts to only eight walks (4:1). Cincinnati has started off on the other end. The Bearcats are hitting below the Mendoza line as a team, and the pitching staff has an ERA in double digits (10.26). This will be the Bearcats’ first home game, but I am not too sure that will help any. Jacksonville is a tough team that beat up on Cinci, but the Norse will be able to hold their own. I’m backing NKU and their hot start. It’s too hot to ignore.

Pick: Northern Kentucky (+140) [via DraftKings]

  • 2:00pm cst: Georgia Bulldogs (-175) vs. Georgia State Panthers (+135); Total 14.5

Georgia State is not off to a great start this season. The Bulldogs are (3-0) and will have LHP Jarvis Evans on the mound. Evans pitched two scoreless, no hit innings this past weekend and now gets the start. Georgia State will have a freshman on the mound making his debut. This line feels a little light with the way the Dogs have started this season. This line is 10 cents above our limit so I will lay the 1.5 runs.

Pick: Georgia -1.5 (-130) [via DraftKings]

  • 4:00pm cst: East Carolina Pirates (-150) vs. Campbell Camels (+120); Total 13

This should be one of the best games of the day. East Carolina is a top 15 team and the Camels feel like a team that is disrespected. They made that clear after their series win against UC Santa Barbara. ECU’s starter played this weekend in relief, logging four strikeouts in two innings. Camels will have a sold out stadium and a chip on their shoulder. They beat this team last year and I think they do it again.

Pick: Campbell (+120) [via DraftKings]

  • 5:00pm cst: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (-160) vs. Georgia Southern Eagles (+124); Total

I have been very impressed with Georgia Tech early. GSU not so much. I expected more from the Eagles against Maryland and the offense just wasn’t there. I like the Georgia Tech offense to over power Georgia Southern.

Pick: Georgia Tech -1.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 6:00pm cst: Texas State Bobcats (+210) vs. TCU Horned Frogs (-280); Total 15

TCU was in a few comeback victories this weekend. They struggled early but finished strong in each game against FGCU. Texas State was strong offensively so I would not be surprised if this was another high scoring game. I really like this Texas State team and this number is a little too far with TCU. I’m going with the ML and RL here.

Pick: Texas State +2.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

Pick: Texas State ML (+210) [via DraftKings]

  • 6:30pm cst: Oklahoma Sooners (+130) vs. Dallas Baptist Patriots (-166); Total 13.5

This Oklahoma team very young but I still think they will have a good season. Dallas Baptist is a veteran school that has top talent. After the Sooners’ long and difficult weekend I feel like DBU can take advantage of OU at home.

Pick: Dallas Baptist -1.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 7:00pm cst: Ohio State Buckeyes (+124) vs. Grand Canyon Antelopes (-160); Total 13

Pick: Grand Canyon (-160) [via DraftKings]

  • 7:30pm cst: Kansas State Wildcats (-110) vs. Arizona State Sun Devils (-120); Total

Pick: Kansas State (-110) [via DraftKings]
