Eintracht Frankfurt vs. SSC Napoli; total 2.5; 2:00pm ct
Napoli will be travelling to Deutsche Bank Park in Germany to face Frankfurt. The Germans have had plenty of success at home against Italian sides going (6W-3D-2L). Although, this Napoli squad has been a juggernaut this season boasting a (5W-0D-1L) record with an incredible offensive attack. Frankfurt is a strong home team but has struggled as an underdog. I have not seen anything that has been able to slow down Napoli’s offense. Its lone loss was in a game vs. Liverpool where the Italians took it easy as they already advanced. I will side with what has been working and that’s Napoli and the over. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Pick: Napoli +120 & Over 2.5 (-105)
Liverpool FC vs. Real Madrid CF; total 2.5; 2:00pm ct
In this first leg we have a rematch of the 21/22 finals where we saw Real Madrid lift its 14th Champion’s League title. Liverpool has only loss one of its last 23 home matches at Anfield so you already know the crowd is going to be lively. Real Madrid has struggled on the road this UCL while Liverpool has yet to drop a home match. A trio of key stats to keep an eye on for this one per Flashscore: Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is one Champion’s League goal away from tying Didier Drogba (44 goals) as the highest scoring African player in the competition. Also, Karim Benzema could become the first Real Madrid player to ever score in six different competitions in a single season should he find the net during these next two matches. The most important stat that easily cements our bet for this game is that only one of Liverpool’s nine previous matches in the UCL last 16 produced over 2.5 goals in 90 minutes. So, we will play under and take a shot with Liverpool. If Madrid was at home then I would be on Real and the over.
Pick: Liverpool +130 & Under 2.5 (+105)
