College Basketball Season Record: 198-194-13 — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

• 6:00pm ct: Houston Cougars -8.5 vs. UCF Knights; Total 133

This was a rock fight earlier in the season when both teams scored less than 100 points combined. This is essentially UCF’s last chance to sneak into the tournament with a win. Houston has Kansas and senior day on deck. I do not think they will look passed UCF but the Knights have a chance to keep this one close on their home floor. This is an ugly one but I will take UCF shooting better than 15% this time around. Houston embarrassed them last time around. I’m plugging my nose with UCF because I actually think they can win this game.

Pick: UCF +8.5 (-108) [via DraftKings]

• 6:00pm ct: Tennessee Volunteers -5.5 vs. South Carolina Gamecocks; Total 141.5

After the Gamecocks dominated the Volunteers on their home floor now the Vols are favored on the road. This has to be the weirdest line of the week for the road team. South Carolina is just as good as Tennessee the only difference is the Vols have Dalton Knecht. The Gamecocks have a couple tough players as well. I’ll take my chances with the Cocks as they battle for the SEC crown. I learned my lesson in betting against South Carolina at home after that Florida game Saturday.

Pick: South Carolina +5.5 (-105) [via DraftKings]

• 7:00pm ct: Florida Atlantic Owls vs. North Texas Mean Green -2.5; Total 136.5

It’s senior day for North Texas and I expect an up and down fast paced game. Florida Atlantic has struggled on the road in these tough AAC matchups. I like North Texas to get an upset with its veteran team to try and build some momentum for the AAC Tournament where any team can win.

Pick: North Texas -2.5 (-112) [via DraftKings]

• 7:00pm ct: East Carolina Pirates vs. SMU Mustangs -12; Total 140

SMU is coming off a bad home loss to UTSA last week and ECU was embarrassed at home against Memphis. The Pirates struggled with Memphis’ defense and fast pace. It is very similar to the attack SMU will be using tonight. I expect a very spirited effort from SMU after that UTSA loss. I’ll lay the points.

Pick: SMU -12 (-105) [via DraftKings]

• 7:30pm cst: UConn Huskies -5 vs. Marquette Golden Eagles; Total 151.5

There still will be no Tyler Kolek for the Golden Eagles. Marquette played well on the road against Creighton when they were making their three pointers but it did not last for 40 minutes. I do not think the Golden Eagles have enough fire power with its injuries but this would be the time for a crazy upset. I’m just not buying it with how disciplined the Huskies are.

Pick: UConn -5 (-115) [via DraftKings]

• 8:00pm ct: Indiana Hoosiers vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers -5; Total 150

This would have looked like and insane line any time in the past five years but this Golden Gophers team is the real deal this season. Minnesota has played great at home this year and are a tough team to kill just ask Penn State. Indiana has struggled on the road and might not be taking this Gophers team seriously as they have Michigan State at home this weekend.

Pick: Minnesota -5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

• 8:00pm ct: Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Texas A&M Aggies -2.5; Total 138.5

The Bulldogs have struggled on the road all season. This Aggies team is filled with upperclassmen and seniors. This is a massive game for any A&M hope to make a push for the NCAA Tournament. I can see the Aggies running away with this one for the seniors. I want no part with any Mississippi school on the road.
