College Basketball Season Record: 143-142-9 — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

• 5:30pm cst: Ole Miss Rebels vs. South Carolina Gamecocks -3; Total 137

Ole Miss dropped a huge home game to Auburn over the weekend. South Carolina is on a five game winning streak. The Gamecocks have been strong on the road and are now at home against the Rebels in an early tip. These offenses are about even and the Rebels play much better at home than they do on the road. What will separate these two teams will be defense. South Carolina is the much better defensive team. Ole Miss is a pretty good three point shooting team and that could keep them in this game. I think this South Carolina team is running pure right now and this number is a bit too short. Ole Miss has not proven they can win on the road.

Pick: South Carolina -3 (-112) [via DraftKings]

• 7:00pm cst: Iowa State Cyclones vs. Texas Longhorns -2; Total 138.5

Iowa State was hand held by the officials to their near upset win over Baylor. I am still not too sure how good this Cyclones team is especially with their best wins coming on their home floor. Texas has been fighting tooth and nail in just about every game to keep pace in the Big 12. Texas has had success against Iowa State as well. This Longhorns team actually has been getting better by the game. I’m siding with the home team because of their defense. I do not think the Cyclones three point shooting will travel but will their defense? This is a massive game for the Longhorns.

Pick: Texas -2 (-112) [via DraftKings]

• 8:00pm cst: Nevada Wolf Pack vs. Utah State Aggies -5.5; Total 147.5

Nevada has been a disappointment this season. They have come up short in just about every big game especially away from home. This number for me is closer to eight with a very strong Utah State squad. The Aggies are running hot and are at the top of the Mountain West. I’ll lay the short number here in my opinion.

• 8:00pm cst: Boise State Broncos vs. Colorado State Rams -5.5; Total 140

We have been riding this Boise State team all season because of how underrated they are. Colorado State had a great game at home against San Diego State but they shot 3x more free throws than the Aztecs. So, the final score was a bit misleading. It feels like this is too many points for the Rams to be laying against a strong Boise team. I’ll take my chances with the Broncos hoping they play tough defense and keep the Rams from shooting lights out from beyond the arc.

• 8:00pm cst: Charlotte 49ers vs. USF Bulls -2; Total 134

This is probably the biggest basketball game in USF history tonight as they battle for first place in the AAC. These are not very good offensive teams but they are evenly matched on that side of the ball. South Florida is the much better defensive and rebounding team. The Bulls are also a much better three point shooting team. I like the home team here.
