College Basketball Season Record: 65-59-4 — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

• 6:00pm cst: Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Maryland Terrapins -7.5; Total 140.5

Maryland is not off to a very good stat to the season and they are also dealing with some injury issues. Penn State is struggling early with their new coach and team but they are at least battle tested. Something that Maryland does not necessarily have. They have faced an easy schedule to this point. I like the Penn State defense and rebounding. Maryland is also dead last in three points shooting. Too many points in my opinion.

• 7:00pm cst: Texas Longhorns vs. Marquette Golden Eagles -8; Total 153

Huge Big 12 vs. Big East matchup tonight between Shaka Smart and his last employer the Texas Longhorns. This should be a big game atmosphere in Milwaukee. I expect and defensive battle with the game being won on the 3PT line. Both teams play great defense and enjoy shooting the three especially Marquette. If Texas can get them off the 3PT line they can stay in this game and even win. Texas will have the advantage down low but Marquette is off a loss and will be ready to get this win for their head coach. Texas was a great road team last season so they may not be too rattled tonight. I’ll take the points with Texas in what should be a great game.

• 7:00pm cst: South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Clemson Tigers -8; Total

We have a battle of undefeated teams in a rivalry showdown. Clemson is coming off a huge win against Pitt on Sunday where Joe Girard had a great game from beyond the arc. This South Carolina team like to play defense and shoot the three pointer. They are one of the best long range teams in the country. I like how the Tigers rebound but this is a tough defense they are going against. I’ll take the points here hoping South Carolina can get some threes to bounce their way.

• 9:00pm cst: SMU Mustangs vs. Arizona State Sun Devils -2; Total 143

ASU is on a two game winning streak but now they must face a tough SMU defense with the same game plan as them: Full court press. The Ponies love to press and trap full court. They also have a much better offense than Arizona State. The team that forces turnovers and hits their threes will win this game. I give SMU the advantage in both categories.
