College Basketball Season Record: 48-37-3 — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

  • 6:00pm cst: LSU Tigers vs. Syracuse Orangemen -1; Total 149.5

Syracuse is back home after a humbling trip to Hawaii. The opposite happened to LSU in Charleston. The Tigers may have found something. I talked about it shortly at the end of yesterday’s DDSN Radio Ep. 1 (below). LSU rates higher in all metrics much higher than Syracuse. The Tigers also play defense and have some size in the paint. They also shoot FT’s extremely well. Syracuse has trouble scoring the basketball and are terrible from the FT line. Judah Mintz is a great player but can be inconsistent. This LSU team is flying under the radar.

Pick: LSU +1 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 6:00pm cst: Southern Illinois Salukis vs. Indiana State Sycamores -7; Total 143.5

We have an early season Missouri Valley game and I expect it to be a good one. Both of these teams have one loss and will be fighting all season for the top ranking. The Salukis are are rated pretty high in all important metrics but the Sycamores are not far behind. Both also had a strong out of conference schedule to get them ready for tonight. We will be watching two strong offense but the Salukis will have the better defense and they will be tested tonight. I feel like there are too many points for team that a close to equal. I will take the Salukis.

Pick: Southern Illinois +7 (-112) [via DraftKings]

  • 6:30pm cst: Miami Hurricanes vs. Kentucky Wildcats -6.5; Total 164

If you have been following you know that this Kentucky team is young but they will eventual be a very tough team to face. Miami is very much battled tested and this veteran squad will be ready. We will be watching two of the best offenses in the country so the little things will make the difference. The team that does not turn the ball over, rebounds and plays enough defense will get the win tonight. Kentucky is at home but I feel this is too many points against a seasoned Miami squad who plays well on the road.

Pick: Miami +6.5 (-112) [via DraftKings]

  • 6:30pm cst: Missouri Tigers vs. Pittsburgh Panthers -7; Total 148.5

Missouri is nowhere near as good as the team they were last season. Pittsburgh has improved from where they left off last season. I am very high on this Pitt Panthers team who seem to be getting better by the game. They blow away Mizzou in all important metrics for me so I expect a strong outing from Pitt tonight. Pitt has one of the best offenses and is one of the best rebounding teams in the country. Yall know I love rebounding.

Pick: Pittsburgh -7 (-108) [via DraftKings]

  • 8:00pm cst: North Carolina State Wolfpack vs. Ole Miss Rebels -2; Total 143

This looks to be an offense vs. defense game in Oxford. Chris Beard’s Rebels are unproven and NC State just went through a tough Vegas stretch where they probably should have won the tournament. BYU shot 70% in the 2H and the Wolfpack dealt with some terrible officiating in regards to technical fouls. NC State is the better team and if they can get the Rebs to run up and down the floor they will have the upper hand. I am sure Beard will want this to be a halfcourt game but I’m backing the Wolfpack offense.

Pick: Wolfpack +2 (-108) [via DraftKings]
