6:00pm cst: Tarleton State Texans vs. Florida International -5; Total 143.5
Tarleton brings back some talent but they did lose their top scorer from last season. Both teams played a Power 5 school and got kicked around. It is tough to gauge the Tarleton State offense after they played Virginia’s suffocating defense and the same with FIU. I do feel this total is a bit too high. I know HC Billy Gillespie will want a tough defensive effort after that Virginia loss.

6:30pm cst: Utah Valley Wolverines vs. Sam Houston State Bearkats -7.5; Total 140.5
This is a large number for the Bearkats to be covering at home. This Utah Valley team can score and Sam Houston was not very impressive against Pacific. I will take a shot with the underdog here.

I think this will turn into a track meet. The total shot up three points within a couple minutes while I was typing this. I think this game will be back and forth. I will still take the total over.

7:00pm cst: Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks vs. Mid. Tennessee State Blue Raiders -2.5; Total 145
I have these two teams rated close to equal but I favor the SFA offense. MTSU started the season with a nice win over Northern Kentucky. If SFA can push the tempo and get MTSU off their game the Jacks can steal a game here. I’ll take the points.
