College Basketball Season Record: 131-116-9 — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

  • 11:00am cst: Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators -7.5; Total 160.5

We have a little rivalry game against two SEC teams fighting for an NCAA Tournament bid. So, this is a pretty big game for each team. Georgia has been hot and much better than they have been in recent years. Florida is a team that relies heavily on the three point shot. They have a solid defense but if the three isn’t going down, they tend to struggle. Florida also has Kentucky on deck. Way too many points for these Gators to be laying.

  • 11:30pm cst: Georgetown Hoyas vs. Providence Friars -12; Total 142

We all know this is a massive “fuck you” game for the Providence Friars. Georgetown HC Ed Cooley was a great coach at Providence then snuck out in the middle of the night to take the Hoyas job. This game will be rockin’. Providence has impressed me, especially against Seton Hall earlier this week. They are tenacious on defense and they just do not give up. I expect a crazy crowd and one of the best defensive performances from the Friars. This would also be a huge win for Providence and their momentum. If they can keep up that tenacious defense they should dominate. I usually don’t lay double digits, but there is plenty of hate worked into this one.

  • 12:30pm cst: Kansas Jayhawks vs. Iowa State Cyclones -4.5; Total 142.5

I have been saying Kansas is not an elite team especially away from home. After watching a couple of the Cyclones home games, we know there is such thing as “Hilton Magic”. The Cyclones get a very friendly whistle but they also play great defense at home. They have the perfect matchup against Kansas. The Jayhawks do not like physical defense from the guards to posts. I would take this one all the way to six. This is Iowa States game of the season. Kansas has not impressed since their win in Maui against Tennessee. I’m laying it.

  • 1:00pm cst: Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Oklahoma Sooners -3.5; Total 139.5

Earlier this season we were on Oklahoma on the road to defeat Texas Tech but they were not successful. OU is desperate for a win. They have the size and defense to give the Red Raiders problems like Houston did. This just sets up for a huge OU win after they were embarrassed by Texas. This number is short. TT is running high but haven’t really played a good game away from home.

Pick: Oklahoma -3.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 1:00pm cst; Texas Longhorns vs. BYU Cougars -7; Total 150.5

Will Texas continue to play great defense and stay hot offensively? We know BYU lives and dies by the three point shot. Texas was able to run Oklahoma off the 3PT line and use their aggressiveness to throw them off their rhythm. BYU has a strong team with a great home court advantage but This may be 3.5 too many points for me to lay. BYU being favored by -7.5 is a bit steep. It basically means they will blow Texas out. I get that after the two great UT wins but I don’t think they lay down here. Texas has the toughness to give BYU problems. Again. BYU lives by the three so I don’t mind taking the points here with a strong UT team.
