• 6:00pm cst: Creighton Blue Jays vs. UCONN Huskies -6.5; Total 145

Creighton is in third place in the Big East standings with a tough stretch that starts tonight and Seton Hall on deck. The Blue Jays have been successful against the Huskies as well. Creighton would have an advantage in the post with Donovan Clingan out but now he is questionable. Even if he does play, I think he will be limited. I’ll take the points in this game.

• 6:00pm cst: Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Kentucky Wildcats -6.5; Total 155.5

We were high on this Mississippi State team coming into the season but what we were afraid of the most is happening: the lack of offense. The Bulldogs struggled against a fast and defensive Alabama team on Saturday. Kentucky doesn’t have a look ahead spot and they are also coming off a very close loss to A&M. If Kentucky can rebound the ball they will be able to take care of business tonight. Their success against against MSU leaves me confident they will.

• 6:00pm cst: Florida State Seminoles vs. Miami Hurricanes -7; Total 157

Florida State started the season hot, then went ice cold and now they are (4-1) in the ACC. Miami is finally healthy again but they remain inconsistent. Florida State’s defense tends to give the Hurricanes issues. I want to take the points with FSU because Miami cannot be trusted currently and it’s too many points. I found a +7 with Caesars but I prefer to get at least six points. 5.5 will work but obviously still tough.

• 7:00pm cst: UCF Knights vs. Texas Longhorns -8.5; Total 137

UCF is starting to get used to the rigors of the Big 12 basketball schedule like the other new comers. Texas has a home game against Baylor on deck and they cannot afford to look past UCF after losing to West Virginia. Central Florida leans heavily on its defense and rebounding, which can give Texas some trouble. I think this spread should be around 5 points. Let’s see how serious the Longhorns are about winning this season.

• 8:00pm cst: Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Houston Cougars -13; Total 129.5

Houston is finally back home after losing two close games on the road. Texas Tech has won on the road and at home but this will be their toughest test yet. I am expecting Houston to have its strongest defensive performance of the season. Texas Tech has a pretty good defense themselves. We talk about it everyday how the Big 12 is a blood bath where only the strong survive. Too many points here to be laying with the Cougars. I make this game closer to 8. I’ll take Texas Tech to avoid getting blown out.
