College Basketball Season Record: 74-73-7 — Betting 1 Unit to Win X

  • 5:30pm cst: Seton Hall Pirates vs. Providence Friars -6; Total 135

Neither of these teams have played since Dec. 23rd. Seton Hall was railed by Xavier after upsetting UCONN and Providence played Butler in a tight OT victory. The Pirates have historically played the Friars tight both home and away. Last season Seton Hall killed Providence by 24 points but if you look into it, the Pirates shot 60% from the field 50% from 3PT range on the road! I do not think this team has forgotten about it (those from last season). The Friars have great numbers especially defensively and rebounding the basketball. Seton Hall will definitely be game after getting routed by Xavier. I just cannot back Hall on the road with their offense.

Pick: Providence -6 (-110) [via BetOnline]

  • 6:00pm cst: Duquesne Dukes vs. UMASS Minutemen -1; Total 155

This should be a solid game in the Atlantic 10 with a very short number. This UMASS team is on a nice run with close losses to some pretty good team: Nebraska, Princeton and Santa Clara (not as good). UMASS has much better number in all important categories than Duquesne. I think this line may bit just a little light. I’ll take UMASS here.

Pick: UMASS -1 (-110 ) [via DraftKings]

  • 6:00pm cst: Illinois-Chicago Ramblers vs. Saint Louis Billikens -2; Total 143

We should have a rock fight on our hands in this one. The Ramblers are a strong defensive team but struggle on offense. Saint Louis can shoot the three and are a strong home team. If the Billikens get just enough offense in they will be successful tonight. Total offense vs. defense game and I’ll take the offensive home team.

Pick: Saint Louis -2 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 7:00pm cst: Clemson Tigers vs. Miami Hurricanes -1; Total 155

Clemson has a very salty bunch this season who love to rebound and shoot the three pointer. Miami has had a strong season aside from a 2H getting demolished at Rupp Arena against Kentucky. Clemson has already faced some pretty tough competition only falling to Memphis. I am not sure the injury status about Miami guards Nijel Pack and Wooga Poplar who are both questionable. Wooga played last game but Pack didn’t. Clemson is also a road warrior team but Miami has had great success against them. I’m backing Miami in a much needed ACC home win to get their season back on track.

Pick: Miami -1 (-110) [via DraftKings]

  • 9:00pm cst: California Golden Bears vs. USC Trojans -7.5; Total 152

I do not like this Cal team one bit. USC has the size to eliminate the Bears’ big man. USC needs this game to bounce back and rejuvenate its season. It is hard to trust these Pac-12 teams so far this season. I’ll back the superior Trojans in this game.

Pick: USC -7.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]
