College Baseball: #3 Fayetteville and #14 Terre Haute Regionals

We have made it to the NCAA Tournament where we will be previewing all of the NCAA Regionals giving as much information as possible. The articles will paired with the regionals that would match up in Supers. We will have wagers throughout the weekend and futures plays for the World Series and Regional winners if they post them. Our wagers are betting 1 unit to win x and for baseball we do not go lower than -165. This is a steep price but there are opportunities where the number should be -200 so this is why that is our limit. Check out our home page where all the regional handicaps will be daily.

NCAA Tournament Record (0.00 units)

Fayetteville Regional

  • 2:00pm cst: #4 Santa Clara Broncos (+245) vs. Arkansas Razorbacks (-315)

I know most people are not expecting much from this Santa Clara team but they are hot and have quality wins on their resume. Arkansas is at home and they are still a great team but this Broncos team should not be overlooked. If the Razorbacks look passed the Broncos they may have some trouble to deal with. Santa Clara has beaten Stanford, swept Gonzaga, multiple wins over Portland, Cal and beat Washington twice. I wish this was a higher moneyline for the Broncos.

Pick: Over 11 Runs (-115)(via Draft Kings)

  • 8:00pm cst: #4 Arizona Wildcats (+115) vs. #3 TCU Horned Frogs (-145)

It is hard to argue there are 5 team hotter than the TCU Horned Frogs after going undefeated in the Big 12 Championship and taking home the gold. I am honestly surprised U of A is in this field after being swept by multiple Pac 12 teams. They did not have a very good season and TCU is just too hot to pass up in this matchup from pitching to offense.

Pick: TCU (-145)

Terre Haut Regional

  • 12:00pm cst: #4 Wright State Raiders (+155) vs. #1 Indiana State Sycamores (-190)

Wright State was much better last season and they did not get off to a hot start this year. Some believe the Sycamores stole a bid from the Campbell Camels, which the argument could be made. Dallas Baptist also has a gripe about it. This is a brutal region I do not think Indiana State gets out of but I see some runs in this first game.

Pick: Over 11.5 Runs (-115) (via Draft Kings)

  • 6:00pm cst: #3 North Carolina Tar Heels (+100) vs. #2 Iowa Hawkeyes (-130)

The Hawkeyes had a great end to its season but North Carolina has probably played a higher level of competition. In this case it is hard to determine who is the better team. Carolina has too many losses against good team for my liking and Iowa had such a strong finish to its season. I will go Hawkeyes here but this should be a good game.

Pick: Iowa (-130)

College World Series Futures (0-0):

  • TCU 75/1 (via Draft Kings)

We will be choosing a College World Series winner out of these groupings so a total of 8. This will be monitored throughout the weekend and updated.

Do I think Arkansas is the best team between both of these regionals? I do but TCU is such a close second for me. Iowa is also at 3. The Razorbacks are the 4th favorite to win the National Championship. The cardiac ‘Backs who continued to come from behind in the SEC tournament just finding ways to win. Honestly, because Arkansas is at home and Iowa could probably steal the regional in Terre Haute they may be the way to go instead of TCU. It’s a tough decision. I prefer TCU’s strength of competion and winning the Big 12 Championship means something.
