FINAL: Miami (OH) 3 - Miami 38

What We Learned:

Tyler Van Dyke got the offense going early with a screen pass to WR Colbie Young for a touchdown. Young has impressive speed.

Van Dyke had plenty of time in the pocket but threw into deep zone coverage for an interception. He clearly has not improved.

The Hurricanes have been doing their best work on the ground, which they should against a smaller MAC school. The Miami Hurricanes dominated the first half using their rushing attack and stable of running backs.

The Hurricanes started the second half marching down the field once again led by RB Mark Fletcher Jr. for a touchdown.

Even though there is a clear talent discrepancy, the Miami defense has been playing at high speed all night in this game. WR Xavier Restrepo has also been impressive.

Miami capped off the game with another rushing touchdown. Domination on the ground for Miami.

The U won this game 38-3 without any real threat from Miami Ohio. The Hurricanes were the bigger and faster team. Their running game was on point all night long led by the Jr. Gang: Henry Parrish Jr. with nine carries for 90 yards and one touchdown, Mark Fletcher Jr. with nine carries for 76 yards and one touchdown, and Donald Chaney Jr. with eight carries for 38 yards and one touchdown. The receivers did have a great game as well utilizing their speed on the outside. QB Tyler Van Dyke had a decent game, but his one glaring mistake was one that may tell the story of where his development is.

DDSN Player of the Game:

Junior Miami RB, Henry Parrish Jr.: 9 carries, 90 yards & 1 touchdown
