That is indeed happening in this game, so I will be posting. I still believe this is a step up for the new SMU team with different talent than last year. I’m taking the points until they prove otherwise.

8:00PM CST: Duke Blue Devils vs. Northwestern Wildcats -2; Total 37
Here is an interesting matchup. Both schools have new quarterbacks leading them this year. Each team has dealt with its own turnover after last season. Northwestern has some experience, but do they have talent? Duke also has a new head coach in Manny Diaz. Can he get the most out of the Duke defense with their remaining talent?
One of my Football Betting Commandments is: don’t bet on a bad quarterback because you will regret it. One of these schools has a QB who could potentially play in the NFL, and he won’t be wearing purple tonight. If this game is even on the defensive side of the ball, then Duke has a major advantage on the offensive side, especially with Maalik Murphy. I am taking the points, but the moneyline at plus money isn’t a bad idea either. These teams play every year, so they are familiar with one another, and Duke has dominated recently.
