11:00am cst: Texas A&M Aggies vs. Ole Miss Rebels -3; Total 52.5
Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies are getting too much respect as short road underdogs again. They have trouble with teams that can rush the passer, and that’s what the Rebels do best. Ole Miss has one of the best pass-rushing teams in the country. They also have a potent offense that can run the ball effectively. Tennessee showed how to beat the Aggie defense with their ground game, and I expect Ole Miss to follow suit. This line is way off, and we should take advantage of it. Hotty Toddy!
Pick: Ole Miss -3 (-110) [via DraftKings]
11:00am cst: Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Florida Gators -3; Total 49
I don’t think Florida’s loss to Georgia hurts their rating too much in my opinion. Arkansas has been awful on the road, except for one decent game against Alabama. KJ Jefferson has regressed as a quarterback, partly because of his poor offensive line. The Gators will rely on their defense and running game to win. The key is for Mertz to avoid turnovers. He should be more careful today. Go Gators.
Pick: Florida -3 (-110) [via Caesars]
2:30pm cst: Oklahoma Sooners -6 vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys; Total 62
Oklahoma State has a great chance to beat Oklahoma in the Bedlam rivalry game. The key factor is the Cowboys’ running game, led by the nation’s leading rusher, Ollie Gordon II. He will face a weak Sooners’ run defense that allowed Kansas to run all over them. If Oklahoma State can avoid turnovers, they should control the game. The Cowboys also have a solid defense that can limit the Sooners’ offense. Oklahoma has struggled against Texas, UCF, and Kansas, especially in stopping the run. Oklahoma State will exploit this weakness and prove that Oklahoma is overrated. I have been saying all week on Twitch that the Cowboys will cover and win outright.
Pick: Oklahoma State +6 (-112) [via DraftKings] - 1 unit
Pick: Oklahoma State ML (+200) [via DraftKings] - 1 unit
5:00pm cst: Midd. Tennessee State Blue Raiders vs. New Mexico State Aggies -3.5; Total 55.5
New Mexico State has a great opportunity to beat Middle Tennessee State after the Blue Radiers’ bye week. The Aggies are on fire behind QB Diego Pavia, who has been playing at a high level. MTSU has been decent, but not as good as the Aggies. I think this line is too low and favors the Aggies. If the NMSU pass rush can pressure the MTSU QB, they will win and cover for us. The hook on the 3 is a trap for MTSU bettors. We should take advantage of it. Diego Pavia season continues!
Pick: New Mexico State -3.5 (-105) [via DraftKings]
6:00pm cst: Kansas Jayhawks vs. Iowa State Cyclones -3; Total 53.5
Iowa State is a Big 12 team that deserves more attention, and I’m not talking about Oklahoma State. The Cyclones have a chance to win the conference, but they need to beat Kansas first. This is a rivalry game, and Kansas is coming off a huge upset over Oklahoma. Iowa State can’t afford to look ahead to Texas, or they will lose their edge. I like the Cyclones to win and cover, but I wouldn’t lay more than 3 points.
Pick: Iowa State -3 (-108) [via DraftKings]
6:30pm cst: Washington Huskies -3 vs. USC Trojans; Total 77
Washington has a tough test against USC, but I think they will pass it. The Huskies have survived three close games against Oregon, Arizona, and Arizona State, all of whom are gritty teams. The Trojans, on the other hand, are soft and overrated. I used to admire Lincoln Riley when he was at ECU under Ruffin McNeill, but he lost my respect when he left for the Pac-12 to avoid the SEC. Now he has to deal with the cold weather in the Big Ten, which is ironic. He also refuses to fire his defensive coordinator, who is incompetent. I don’t trust USC to win this game. Washington has shown more resilience and determination this season. They are undefeated and have everything to play for. I expect the Huskies to dominate the Trojans, even on the road.
Pick: Washington -3 (-105) [via DraftKings]
6:30pm cst: LSU Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide -3; Total 61.5
I think this line is a gift for Alabama bettors, and I don’t understand why people are backing LSU. Jayden Daniels has been exposed by Florida State’s defense, and he will have no chance against Alabama’s defense on the road at night. He has padded his stats against weak opponents like Mississippi State and Ole Miss, but Alabama crushed both of them. Alabama has a freshman quarterback from Texas, but he has improved every game. Just ask Joe Milton, who thought he had the game won at halftime, until Alabama came back and stomped him in the second half. Alabama will win this game by double digits, and they will also have revenge on their minds from last year. Roll Tide.
Pick: Alabama -3 (-110) [via DraftKings]
7:00pm cst: Miami Hurricanes -6 vs. North Carolina State Wolfpack; Total 44
NC State has a great opportunity to beat Miami at home. The Wolfpack has a strong defense that can pressure the Miami quarterback. We already know HC Mario Cristobal is not good at managing the game. It doesn’t matter who starts at quarterback for NC State, as both options are capable. Miami has been lucky to win some close games, but their luck will run out. NC State smells blood and is ready to pounce on a weak opponent. Don’t be surprised if they pull off the upset.
Pick North Carolina State +6 (-110) [via DraftKings]
9:00pm cst: Boise State Broncos vs. Fresno State Bulldogs -2.5; Total 54.5
This game will be a treat for die hard college football fans and maybe the casuals. Mikey Keene looked sharp against UNLV last Saturday and he should be ready to lead Fresno State tonight after knocking off the rust. Boise State has a powerful running back in Ashton Jeanty, who can bulldoze anyone. Fresno State will have to stop him to win this game. I think Mikey Keene and Fresno State are superior in this matchup and I expect them to win comfortably. The stadium will be packed for the first time in years, which will give them the boost they need. I like Fresno State, but I wouldn’t lay more than three points.
Pick: Fresno State -2.5 (-110) [via DraftKings]
9:30pm cst: UCLA Bruins -2.5 vs. Arizona Wildcats; Total 50.5
If you have been following us on Twitch, YouTube, and elsewhere, so you know I am very impressed by Arizona’s freshman quarterback, Noah Fifita. I knew he was an NFL quarterback since the first time I saw him against Washington. He is a nightmare for defenses, but he will face a tough one in UCLA. The key for Arizona is to protect Fifita from the UCLA pass rush, which is easier said than done. I wish I could get three points here, but it may change by kickoff. It doesn’t matter, though. Arizona is a resilient team and has found their quarterback of the future. Mark my words, Noah is a first-round draft pick. I saw it in his first start against Washington. Take the points if it gets to three or the moneyline. Either way, Arizona is winning this game.
Pick: Arizona ML (+114) [via DraftKings]
