• 6:00pm cst: West Virginia Mountaineers -3 vs. Houston Cougars; Total 50

The Mountaineers are on the road tonight but they have been hot to start the season. Something I cannot say for Houston. UofH has struggled against their new Big 12 competition and I can see that happening again tonight. WVU should be focused after the bye week. I do not trust Houston to play four quarters. West Virginia’s defense should slow down QB Donovan Smith. They both have faced a common opponent in TCU. TCU was able to throw all over the Cougars defense but not the West Virginia D. Country Roads take me home.

• 6:30pm cst: SMU Mustangs -11.5 vs. East Carolina Pirates; Total 49.5

East Carolina has a tough defense but one of the worst offenses in the country. SMU has a strong defense themselves and a very capable offense coming off a bye week. No look ahead spot for SMU either. The ECU offense will more than likely put the defense in bad situations if they are unable to move the ball. I think ECU will struggle offensively and the defense will eventually suffer. I will take the Ponies who have their eye on an AAC Championship.
